Amman International Marathon is an annually held marathon in Amman, Jordan. [1] Organized by the NGO Run Jordan, which also organizes several other marathons across the Kingdom, it was inaugurated in 2009 by King Abdullah. [2] The marathon has routes that are 42, 21, and 10 kilometers long, and holds a separate event for children. Around 20,000 people participate every year. [3]

Olympique de Médéa Algerian football club

Energy in Jordan

Energy in Jordan describes energy and electricity production, consumption and import in Jordan. Jordan is among the highest in the world in dependency on foreign energy sources, with 96% of the country's energy needs coming from imported oil and natural gas from neighboring Middle Eastern countries. This complete reliance on foreign oil imports consumes a significant amount of Jordan's GDP. This led the country to plan investments of $15 billion in renewable and nuclear energy. To further address these problems, the National Energy Strategy for 2007-2020 was created which projects to boost reliance on domestic energy sources from 4 per cent to 40 per cent by the end of the decade.

Nasser Judeh Jordanian politician

Nasser Sami Judeh is a Jordanian politician who served as Jordan's longest serving minister of foreign affairs, having served between 2009 and 2017 in eight consecutive governments. He also served as deputy prime minister from 2015 to 2017. He serves as a senator in the Jordanian Upper House of Parliament.

The Jordan women's football championship is the main women's football tournament in Jordan. It was first contested in 2005. As the league is sponsored by Orange since 2012, it is called the Orange Women's Football league.
