Ammar Eloueini (born 1947 in Beirut, Lebanon) is an architect who established AEDS | Ammar Eloueini Digit-all Studio in Paris in 1997. Since 1999 the office has operated with locations in Europe and the United States.
AEDS has completed projects at different scales in a range of geographic locations. From object design such as urban furniture for the city of New Orleans, to six retail spaces in Europe for Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake, the office has developed an expertise in solving a wide range of design problems, while serving a wide range of clients including the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and choreographer John Jasperse in New York.
AEDS's work has been recognized with a series of awards such as the New York Architectural League’s Emerging Voices (2007), eleven AIA Design Excellence awards and the French Ministry of Culture Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes (2002). The work of Ammar Eloueini is part of five permanent collections: The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) in Montreal, Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHUB) and The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans.
Between 1999 and 2005, Ammar Eloueini chaired the Digital Media Program, as well as taught design studio, theory and digital fabrication courses at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently Eloueini is a Professor at Tulane University and regularly serves as thesis advisor at the ENSCI in Paris.
Ammar Eloueini received, with honors, the degree of Diplômé par le Gouvernement from Paris-Villemin in 1994, and graduated with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in 1996. Eloueini has participated in several symposia and exhibitions, including “Mixing It Up With Mies” at the Canadian Centre for Architecture and the Venice Biennale. In addition to several solo and group shows, the work of Ammar Eloueini has been documented by two bilingual monographs, published by Damdi in Korea and AADCU in China.

The Casa Bloc is a residential building built between 1932 and 1936 in the Sant Andreu district of the city of Barcelona. Its architects were Josep Lluís Sert (1902–1983), Josep Torres Clavé (1906–1939) and Joan Baptista Subirana (1904–1978), all members of GATCPAC (Catalan Group of Architects and Technicians for the Progress of Contemporary Architecture). Catalan architects of the Second Republic, brought together by the GATCPAC, proposed a new way of living that was just, accommodated co-existence and defended the collective identity. The creation of Casa Bloc was one of the first steps towards dignifying workers' living conditions. As a result of the Spanish Civil war, the project was cut short. In 2012, after a careful restoration by the Institut Català del Sòl and Institut de Cultura of Barcelona through the Disseny Hub Barcelona, the doors to apartment number 1/11 are open and furnished just as its creators had originally wanted.

The Museu de les Arts Decoratives, in English Decorative Arts Museum, is a museum opened on 1932 and located in the Palau Reial de Pedralbes in Barcelona. Created in 1932, this historic museum contains a rich and diverse collection of European decorative arts, from the Middle Ages to the Industrial Revolution. In 1995, the museum extended its boundaries with the incorporation of design, thus converting it into the first and only statewide museum concerned with the preservation and exhibition of Spanish industrial design. The collections of the Museu de les Arts Decoratives were created from an important resource of industrial design and decorative art objects, that included salvers, carriages, furniture, wallpaper, clocks, tapestries and glasswork.
The Museu Tèxtil i d'Indumentària, in English Textile and Clothing Museum, is a museum opened on 1982 and located in the Palau Reial de Pedralbes in Barcelona. The museum possesses countless objects and pieces of major artistic and historical value that make up their collections of garments, fabrics and jewellery. Regarding their collection of clothes, the museum allows you to take a journey through the history of textiles, from the 16th century right up to the modern day. The museum's collections include Coptic, Hispano-Arab, Gothic and Renaissance fabrics, as well as embroidery, a section on lacework and a collection of prints. Also worth mentioning is the jewelry collection, comprising approximately five hundred pieces that were made and produced in Spain.

Tom Wiscombe is an American architect based in Los Angeles, California. He is the Principal and Founder of Tom Wiscombe Architecture (TWA). Wiscombe’s work is known for its massing, graphic qualities, and inventiveness, all informed by contemporary ecological thought. His recently released monograph Objects Models Worlds covers his practice and ideas. He was the Chair of the Undergraduate Program at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), where he taught for over 15 years.
