Amoit Judith Mary (26 June 1976) is a Ugandan politician who served as the Pallisa district woman representative for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the ninth Parliament of Uganda. [1] [2] [3]

Personal Life and career history

When she was travelling for the NRM retreat at the Kyankwanzi-based National Leadership Institute, Judith was involved in a serious accident that nearly claimed her life. [4] She was among the NRM caucus members who invoked Kyankwanzi's sole candidate resolution as they accused party leaders of undermining their re-election prospects. [5] She was among the women legislators who sought to amend the Domestic Violence Bill. [6]

Evelyn Anite Kajik, commonly known as Evelyn Anite, is a Ugandan journalist and politician. She is the State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization in the Ugandan Cabinet since 6 June 2016. Previously, she served as State Minister for Youth. She was appointed to that position on 1 March 2015, replacing Ronald Kibuule, who was appointed State Minister for Water Resources. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Koboko Municipality, in the West Nile sub-region, in the Northern Region of Uganda, a position she occupied from 2011 until 2021. In the 2020 National Resistance Movement (NRM) primary elections, Anite lost to Dr Charles Ayume, the son of former speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, the late Francis Ayume.

Anita Annet Among is a Ugandan accountant, lawyer and politician who is the Speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda since 2022. She also concurrently serves as the elected member of parliament for the Bukedea District Women Constituency, the same position she held in the 10th Parliament (2016–2021). She was in FDC party before she joined the ruling NRM where she was voted as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Parliament. Rose Lilly Akello is a Ugandan politician and social worker representing Karenga District as the district woman member of parliament in the eleventh parliament of Uganda. In the ninth and tenth parliament, she served as the district woman member of parliament representing Kaabong District. Rose opted to represent Karenga District instead of Kaabong district because Karenga was carved out of Kaabong on 1 July 2019. She became the Kaabong District Woman MP after winning a by-election in 2017 against Ms Christine Tubo Nakwang. She is affiliated to the ruling political party, NRM.

Justine Khainza also referred to as Khainza Justine is a Ugandan politician and social worker. She is the district woman representative of Bududa District in the 9th and 10th Parliament of Uganda. She is a member of the National Resistance Movement political party. In the 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections, she lost the vote to Agnes Nandutu who is the current district woman representative of Bududa District in the 11th Parliament of Uganda.

Ann Maria Nankabirwa is a Ugandan politician and engineer. She is the district woman representative of Kyankwanzi for the 9th and 10th Parliament of Uganda.
