Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology is a private college affiliated with Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala.

Courses

The college offers courses at undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels. It also provides vocational programs like hotel management and other professional courses to students. Its degree is applicable in 17 countries.

The college provides bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering. It also offers the provision of lateral entry in the same. [9] Apart from Engineering it provides bachelor degrees in Computer Applications, Business Administration, B.sc. Economics and B.Com Professional.

The postgraduate courses provided are Masters of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications. It provides regular as well as part-time courses for Masters in Technology in field of Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The college recently started its B vocational courses in compliance to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) [12]

Part Time Courses

The institute has introduced part-time degree courses in M. Tech Civil Engineering (CE) and M. Tech Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The eligibility criteria for admission in M. Tech. (Part-Time) course is regular B.E. / B. Tech. degree of Punjab Technical University or its equivalent with at least 50% in aggregate for all categories. The admission to any of these part-time degrees at ACET Amritsar can be taken by registering for the AGC NEST 2020. [13]

Duration

The part-time degree in M. Tech Civil Engineering (CE) and M. Tech Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology involves of three years (six semesters) of study.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission in M. Tech. (Part-Time) course is regular B.E. / B. Tech. degree of Punjab Technical University or its equivalent with at least 50% in aggregate for all categories.

Infrastructure

The institute has a library, advanced labs, sports facility, separate hostels for girls and boys. The institute features a Center of Excellence that offers various training courses through its cells like the ROBOLAB, Big Data Lab, and Auto Lab etc. [14]
