Janata Dal (United) abbreviated as JD(U) is a centre-left Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. His younger grandson Jai Vardhan Yadav was elected Member of Legislative Assembly from Paliganj as a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal in between 2015 to 2020.
