Ancara is a heavy metal band from Kerava, Finland.

Ancara was founded in 1985 as Metal Circus. It later changed its name to MC, then Resistance in 1992, and then Ancara in 1996. [1] The band didn't record its debut, however, until 2006, by which time only drummer Timo Rajala remained from the original lineup of Metal Circus. Their debut album, sung in English, was a success in Finland, and soon after the group released the single "The World", which reached No. 2 in that country. [1]

Sotajumala

Sotajumala was a Finnish death metal band from Jyväskylä, Finland, formed in 1998. The band has released four albums, two Maxi singles, one single and one split EP. They have played a lot of shows in their home country, including Tuska, Jalometalli, Nummirock, Lutakko Liekeissä and Pellavarock festivals. They are known for frequent usage of wolves in their album art, but the band is named after a kind of bird. Catamenia also means “menstruation”, which the band did not know until a fan pointed it out to them after the release of their debut album.

The band was led by Timo Rautiainen, leading member of Finnish metallers Lyijykomppania, a band which is still highly popular in Finland and has a small foreign following in the scene. The musical influence of the band ranges from Black Sabbath to more modern metal acts. Lyrically, the themes presented in their songs range from global issues to personal tragedy, typically in a dark and serious tone. They have released seven albums to date.

To/Die/For are a gothic metal band from the town of Kouvola in southeast of Finland, assembled in 1993 as a hard rock band under the name Mary-Ann. The band disbanded on 13 April 2009, but has reformed as of 4 July 2009, and played their final concert at John Smith Festival in Finland on June 22, 2016. They reformed once again in early 2020.

Amberian Dawn Finnish metal band

Amberian Dawn is a Finnish symphonic power metal band, formed in 2006 by Tuomas Seppälä and Tommi Kuri. Their fifth album Re-Evolution was released on KHY Suomen Musiikki & Encore Music in summer 2013. Their latest album Looking for You was released in January 2020, via Napalm Records.

Falchion was a Finnish heavy metal/death metal band formed in 2002. Their debut album, Legacy of Heathens, was released in 2005. The vocalist and lead guitarist Juho Kauppinen and drummer Matti Johansson formerly performed with the Finnish folk metal group Korpiklaani, as the accordion player and drummer, respectively, before Juho's departure in 2013, and Matti's departure in 2019. The band dissolved in 2009.
