And the Big Red Nebula Band was the third album by Fingathing. It was released in May 2004 on Grand Central Records in the UK, and licensed from them by Ninja Tune in the U.S. & Canada.

Fingathing are an instrumental Nu jazz / hip-hop band from Manchester, UK, comprising classically trained double bass player Sneaky, DJ / turntablist Peter Parker and Visual Artist Chris Cavetroll Drury.

Grand Central Records

Grand Central Records was an independent record label based in the Northern Quarter of Manchester, UK. It was started in 1995 by DJ Mark Rae. Rae started out working as manager of the Fat City Records' store. The two labels maintained a close relationship, co-hosting club nights including Friends and Family.
