Andrea Caroni is a Swiss politician who is a member of the Council of States of Switzerland.
He was elected to the National Council in 2011 and to the Council of States in 2015. [1]
The Orinoco is one of the longest rivers in South America at 2,250 kilometres (1,400 mi). Its drainage basin,sometimes known as the Orinoquia,covers 989,000 km2 (382,000 sq mi),with 76.3 percent of it in Venezuela and the remainder in Colombia. Ciudad Guayana is a city in Bolívar State,Venezuela. It stretches 40 kilometers along the south bank of the Orinoco river,at the point where it is joined by its main tributary,the Caroníriver. The Caroníflows through the city from south to north,dividing it into its predominant halves —the old town of San Félix,to the east,and the newer area of Puerto Ordaz,to the west.
Caroni County was a historic county of Trinidad and Tobago. The port and industrial zone of Point Lisas is located in Caroni,and the region is also a site for agriculture.

Switzerland made detailed plans to acquire and test nuclear weapons during the Cold War. Less than two weeks after the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki,the Swiss government started studying the possibility of building nuclear weapons,and continued its military nuclear program for 43 years until 1988. It has since signed and ratified the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Switzerland never possessed biological weapons,but did have a program of the Swiss Army high command to develop and test chemical weapons.
