Andrea McEwan (born 9 October 1978[ citation needed ]) is an Australian actress, singer, musician and songwriter.
After attending MacRobertson Girls' High School in Melbourne, McEwan started acting, appearing in several television series including Ocean Girl and Funky Squad . In 1991 she was nominated for a Gladys Moncrieff Award for Outstanding New Talent by the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria after her performance in Annie . She has also appeared several times in the soap opera Neighbours . Her first role as Sonia came in 1989, then in 1991 she played Sarah Livingston, followed by Nicole Cahill in 1995. She played Penny Watts in 2002. [1]
In 2000, McEwan studied at National Institute of Dramatic Arts. [2] She moved to the United Kingdom in the 2000s and in 2005 she appeared in Coronation Street where she played Lisa Ditchfield. [1]
After moving to the UK, McEwan started singing and song writing professionally and in 2006 was signed to Mike Batt's Dramatico record label. In 2007, she collaborated with Katie Melua, writing lyrics for "What I Miss About You" [3] and Dirty Dice [4] which appeared on Melua's third album, Pictures . [2]
McEwan toured the UK in late 2008 supporting Katie Melua. In 2008 she released a three track E.P., Candle in a Chatroom featuring the songs "Candle in a Chatroom", "Black Socks in the Wash" and "Fast Train". She released the second single ("Alibi") at the beginning of April.

Holly Rachel Candy, known professionally as Holly Valance, is an Australian model, actress and singer. Christopher John Spedding is an English guitarist and record producer. In a career spanning more than 50 years, Spedding is best known for his studio session work. "If You Were a Sailboat" is a song by British singer Katie Melua. Written and produced by Mike Batt, it is Melua's ninth single and the first from her third album, Pictures (2007). Melua said of the song:
What I liked about the song is the fact that a lot of love songs tend to deal with the fluffy nice side of love, but this one deals with how you get very selfish when you fall in love with someone, and you don't want to share them with the world, you just want them all about yourself. What's genius about Mike's lyrics is that instead of saying that directly he uses these crazy strange metaphors, "if you were a piece of wood I'd nail you to the floor" and quite bizarre stuff and I like that. Musically it sounds like a really nice smooth love song, but the message is pretty intense and quite dark.
Live at the O² Arena is a live album by Georgian-born British singer–songwriter Katie Melua. It was recorded on 8 November 2008 at the O2 Arena in London. The CD release of the album contains 19 tracks whereas the vinyl edition features a different track listing with three additional songs, namely "Thank You Stars", "Two Bare Feet" and "Spellbound". Those three tracks are also included in the digital download release of the album.
Florence Rawlings is an English singer from South London, England. She first met Dramatico Entertainment chairman Mike Batt when she was 13 years old. He was auditioning female vocalists, and two of them stood out to him: one was Florence and the other was Katie Melua. Batt signed Melua, but as Florence was so young, it was agreed that she should finish her studies before embarking on her professional career. On completing her A level exams, Florence signed to Batt's Dramatico label.

The House is the fourth studio album by British singer Katie Melua, released on 24 May 2010 by Dramatico. This is Melua's first studio album not to be produced by Mike Batt. The first single from the album, "The Flood", was released on 17 May 2010 and was written by Melua, Guy Chambers and Lauren Christy. The second single "A Happy Place" was released in July 2010, featuring a remix of the track by Sparks. The third single "To Kill You With A Kiss" was released at the end of November 2010.
