Andrea Ruiz is an Argentine politician who served as a provincial deputy in Santiago del Estero Province in Argentina, elected in October 2013.
She is a member of the Workers' Party, and was elected as a candidate of the Workers' Left Front. [1] Ruiz shared responsibilities for overseeing banking in the provincial legislature with Anisa Favoretti. [2]
Ruiz organized a local event of " Ni una menos " in Santiago del Estero to raise awareness about gender-based violence in 2016. [3]

In its official website, Ni una menos defines itself as a "collective scream against machista violence." The campaign was started by a collective of Argentine female artists, journalists and academics, and has grown into "a continental alliance of feminist forces". Social media was an essential factor in the propagation of the Ni Una Menos movement to other countries and regions.
