Mark Bradford is an American artist. Born in Los Angeles, Bradford studied at the California Institute of the Arts. He is best known for his collaged painting works, which have been shown internationally. Bradford was the US presentantive for the 2016 Venice Biennale. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
Philippe Parreno is a French artist who lives and works in Paris, France. His work includes various media, such as film, installations, performance, drawing, and text. Parreno focuses on expanding ideas of time and duration through his artworks and distinctive conception of exhibitions as a medium. Preferring projects to objects, he began examining unique approaches to narration and representation in the 1990s and has been exhibiting internationally ever since.
El Anatsui is a Ghanaian sculptor active for much of his career in Nigeria. He has drawn particular international attention for his "bottle-top installations". These installations consist of thousands of aluminum pieces sourced from alcohol recycling stations and sewn together with copper wire, which are then transformed into metallic cloth-like wall sculptures. Such materials, while seemingly stiff and sturdy, are actually free and flexible, which often helps with manipulation when installing his sculptures.
Giorgio Morandi was an Italian painter and printmaker who specialized in still life. His paintings are noted for their tonal subtlety in depicting apparently simple subjects, which were limited mainly to vases, bottles, bowls, flowers and landscapes.
Do Ho Suh is a Korean sculptor and installation artist. He also works across various media, including paintings and film which explores the concept of space and home. Zoran Mušič, baptised as Anton Zoran Musič, was a Slovene painter, printmaker, and draughtsman. He was one of the few painters of Slovene descent who managed to establish himself in the elite cultural circles of Italy and France, particularly Paris, where he lived for most of his later life. He painted landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and self-portraits, as well as scenes of horror from the Dachau concentration camp and vedute of Venice.
Thierry Geoffroy, also known as Colonel, is a Danish-French artist, living in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a Conceptual artist using a wide variety of media including video and installations, often collaborative with other artists.
Kaljo Põllu was an Estonian artist. In 1962 he received a diploma in glass art, and became director of art cabinet of Tartu State University; he founded the contemporary artist's group Visarid in 1966 in Tartu. In 1973 he moved to Tallinn, where from 1975 to 1996 he taught drawing in the Estonian Academy of Arts; at this point his art changed in style dramatically as he searched for influences from the ancient Finno-Ugric culture.
Oskar Ingemar Eriksson is a Swedish curler from Karlstad. He currently plays third for the Niklas Edin rink. He is a five-time World Men's Curling Champion, seven-time European Men's Curling Champion, and the first curler in history to win three gold medals in major international curling championships in a single calendar year – the World Men's Curling Championship, the European Curling Championship, and the World Mixed Doubles Championship. Having also won two World Mixed Doubles Championship medals, he is the first and the only curler to have six World Curling Championship gold medals in the senior men's division and, as of the end of the 2020-21 curling season, has won eleven World Curling Championship medals in that division. He also holds the record for most gold medals in international competitions as recognized by the World Curling Federation. He is the only member of Team Sweden to have competed in all of the World Men's Curling Championships from 2011 to 2021. He won medals in all but one of these championships, as well as playing in multiple positions – as skip, third, second, and as an alternate. He also has reached twenty-five playoffs at Grand Slam of Curling events, including winning three Grand Slam tournaments and the Pinty's Cup as part of Team Niklas Edin, the first non-Canadian men's team to do so. In 2021, Eriksson and his teammates also became the first men's team in history to win three consecutive World Men's Curling Championships, with Eriksson and Niklas Edin the first two curlers in history to have five gold World Men's Curling Championship medals.
Johan Axel Gustaf Törneman was one of Sweden's earliest modernist painters. Born in Persberg, Värmland, in Sweden, he grew to work in several modernist styles, was one of the first Swedish expressionist artists, and became a part of the international avant-garde in art after embracing more abstract art styles in Germany and France that were evolving there during the early 1900s. He created his most famous paintings, Night Café I and II, and Trait, in France in 1905. These night café paintings, made from studies in the Place Pigalle, and in other nightclubs popular with artists such as Café du Rat Mort, are seen as two of Swedish modernism's most important works, and are considered breakthrough work of Swedish modernism.

The 59th Venice Biennale is an upcoming international contemporary art exhibition to be held between April and November 2022. The Venice Biennale takes place biennially in Venice, Italy. Artistic director Cecilia Alemani will curate its central exhibition.
Andreas Emenius is a Swedish cross-disciplinary artist known for installation, painting, and performance, based in Copenhagen. Emenius has shown work in multiple global biennales as well as museums, and is currently the curator and co founder of the Nordic Contemporary, a gallery for contemporary art featuring Scandinavian artists, in Paris, France. Emenius works additionally as a film director and is a contributor for SHOWstudio, a fashion and film platform founded by British photographer Nick Knight. Emenius teaches occasionally as a visual arts professor at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and is currently represented by Shin Gallery In New York.
