Primož Trubar or Primus Truber was a Slovene Protestant Reformer of the Lutheran tradition, mostly known as the author of the first Slovene language printed book, the founder and the first superintendent of the Protestant Church of the Duchy of Carniola, and for consolidating the Slovenian language. Trubar introduced The Reformation in Slovenia, leading the Austrian Habsburgs to wage the Counter-Reformation, which a small Protestant community survived. Trubar is a key figure of Slovenian history and in many aspects a major historical personality.

Šiška Sports Park is a multi-purpose sports venue in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The venue includes a main football stadium with outdoor track and field, an athletics hall, two football fields with artificial turf, and tennis courts. The main football stadium is commonly named ŽAK Stadium and was used for matches in the Slovenian PrvaLiga by NK Ljubljana, NK Interblock and NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Currently, the venue is used by the men's top division side NK Bravo, and the women's top division side ŽNK Olimpija Ljubljana.

Podgrad is a settlement east of the capital Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It lies on the right bank of the Ljubljanica River at the entrance into the Besnica Valley. The Ljubljanica in turn flows into the Sava immediately northeast of the settlement core. The railway line from Ljubljana to Zidani Most runs through the settlement. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Borovniščica is a stream that originates in the hills west of Gorenje Otave and flows to the north through Hell Gorge, creating a series of waterfalls, and then through the village of Borovnica. It then flows across the Ljubljana Marsh, where it joins the Ljubljanica River as a right tributary. The upper course of the creek separates the Rakitna Plateau from the Logatec Plateau.
