The 2010 UEFA Futsal Championship was the seventh official edition of the UEFA-governed European Championship for national futsal teams. It was hosted by Hungary, between January 19 and January 30, 2010, in two venues located in Budapest and Debrecen. For the first time, twelve teams competed in the final round, after a qualifying phase where eleven teams managed to join the Hungarian hosts.

Rizvan Farzaliyev, is an Azerbaijani futsal player who plays for Araz Naxçivan as a defender. He is captain of the Azerbaijan national team. He scored the last penalty in 2011, which helped his country to reach the semifinals, beating Ukraine, in Uefa Futsal Euro. Azerbaijan lost in to Portugal in the semifinals, in penalty shot out. It was the country's best performance in this sport. Rizvan Farzaliyev, by playing in all three games, equalled Lúcio's record of 69 UEFA futsal club appearances.

The Republic of Ireland national futsal team has represented the Republic of Ireland in the UEFA Futsal Championship. The Republic of Ireland has, to date, never qualified for the final stages of a major tournament. It has, however, taken part in several invitational tournaments, such as the 2008 Four Nations Futsal Cup. It is organised by the Football Association of Ireland.
