The U.S. Figure Skating Championships is a figure skating competition held annually to crown the national champions of the United States. The competition is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. In the U.S. skating community, the event is often referred to informally as "Nationals". Medals are currently awarded in four disciplines: men's (boys') singles, ladies' (girls') singles, pair skating, and ice dancing in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth) on two levels, senior and junior. Medals were previously given at the novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels. The event is also used to determine the U.S. teams for the World Championships, World Junior Championships, Four Continents Championships, and Winter Olympics, however, U.S. Figure Skating reserves the right to consider other results.
Tatsuya Tanaka is a Japanese figure skater who competes internationally for Hong Kong. Tanaka is the three time Hong Kong national silver medalist. He is a five-season competitor on the Junior Grand Prix circuit.
Diana Y. Chen is an American figure skater who competed internationally for Taiwan. She is the 2003 Taiwanese national champion. Her highest placement at an ISU Championship was 33rd at the 2001 World Junior Figure Skating Championships.
The Chinese Taipei Figure Skating Championships is a figure skating competition held annually to determine the national champions of Taiwan, which uses the name Chinese Taipei when participating in international sporting events. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing, although not every discipline is held every year due to a lack of participants. The event is organized by Chinese Taipei Skating Union, the sport's national governing body.

At the junior level, Chen is the 2015–16 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, 2013–14 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, 2014 World Junior bronze medalist, and a six-time Junior Grand Prix medalist.
Jason Lawrence Brown is an American figure skater. He is a nine-time Grand Prix medalist, a two-time Four Continents medalist, and the 2015 U.S. national champion. Earlier in his career, he became a two-time World Junior medalist, the 2011 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and the 2010 junior national champion.

Chen Lu is a Chinese former figure skater. She is the 1994 and 1998 Olympic bronze medalist and the 1995 World Champion. Chen won the first ever Olympic medal in figure skating for China.
Liam Firus is a Canadian retired figure skater. He is the 2016 Triglav Trophy champion and a three-time Canadian national medallist. He competed at the 2014 Olympic Games. Earlier in his career, Firus won two bronze medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series.

He is the first Chinese skater to medal in the men's singles at the World Figure Skating Championships.

She is currently a student at Cornell University.

Alexei Dmitriyevich Krasnozhon is a Russian-American former competitive figure skater. Competing for the United States, he is the 2017 CS Tallinn Trophy silver medalist, 2017 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and 2017 U.S. national junior champion. Krasnozhon skated for Russia earlier in his career, making his last international appearance in December 2013.
