Andy Chrisman is a former member of the American contemporary Christian music group 4Him, a solo Christian music recording artist and a worship leader. [1]
Chrisman originally met the other 4Him members when they sang together in Truth, a contemporary Christian vocal group founded in the late 1960s and directed by Roger Breland. Representatives from a record label heard the band a few times and signed them to become a Christian band. Their first single was "Where there is Faith".
Chrisman left 4Him sometime in the 2000s to pursue a solo career. He released his first solo recording, One, in 2004. He has also been a worship pastor at Church on the Move, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2008, along with the Church on the Move Praise Band, he released Beautiful Name, a live worship CD. Chrisman was briefly the worship leader at Celebrate Church in Celebration, Florida until 2006.
The Choir is an atmospheric Christian alternative rock band currently comprising Derri Daugherty on guitar and vocals, Steve Hindalong on drums, and Dan Michaels on saxophone and lyricon. Long-time bassist Tim Chandler died in 2018, and guitarist Marc Byrd was the fifth member of the band between 2005–2014. The Imperials are an American Christian music group that has been active for over 55 years. Originating as a southern gospel quartet, the innovative group would become pioneers of contemporary Christian music in the 1960s. There have been many changes for the band in membership and musical styles over the years. They would go on to win four Grammys, 15 Dove Awards and be inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Hillsong United is a worship band that originated as a part of Hillsong Church. Formed in 1998 as part of Hillsong's youth ministry, the band consists of several rotating worship leaders from the church, including Joel Houston, Taya Smith-Gaukrodger, Matt Crocker, Jonathon Douglass, Brooke Fraser, Jad Gillies and Benjamin Hastings. Due to several songs written by the youth ministry, Hillsong Worship leader Darlene Zschech recommended that they record an album, which resulted in their debut extended play, One, which was released alongside the Hillsong Worship album Touching Heaven Changing Earth. Since then, the group has released fourteen live albums, as well as five studio albums. The band composes songs and performs in church services as well as concerts in worldwide tours.
4Him was a Contemporary Christian group founded in 1990 in Mobile, Alabama, US. The group has ten Dove awards, a Grammy nomination and three certified gold albums to their credit. The group was inducted into Alabama's Music Hall of Fame, following the awarding of The Governor’s Achievement Award. The group has also been featured performers for popular Christian Evangelist crusaders, Billy Graham and Luis Palau.
Phatfish (1994–2014) were a Christian rock, CCM and worship band. They lived in Brighton, England and spent twenty years writing and performing their own brand of worship-oriented rock, as well as leading worship both in the UK and across the world. They released a number of their own albums and played alongside many well-known worship leaders. They also appeared on many worship albums and on national television programmes such as BBC1's Songs of Praise. Their home church was Church of Christ The King, home of Stuart Townend and other prominent Christian figures.
