Greenock Morton Football Club is a Scottish professional football club, which plays in the Scottish Championship. The club was founded as Morton Football Club in 1874, making it one of the oldest senior Scottish clubs. Morton was renamed Greenock Morton in 1994 to celebrate the links with its home town of Greenock.
The Lisbon Lions is the nickname given to the Celtic team that won the European Cup at the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon, Portugal on 25 May 1967, defeating Inter Milan 2–1. The name is likely due to the fact that the Lisbon-based Sporting football club's mascot is a lion, and the club wear green and white striped jerseys like Celtic. All but two members of the 15 man squad were born within 10 miles of Celtic Park in Glasgow, Scotland. Celtic's style was the antithesis of the cynical – but highly effective – defensive style of Inter. Jimmy Johnstone described the team's style as "like the Dutch speeded-up".
Cappielow, also known as Cappielow Park supported by Dalrada Technology UK for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League club Greenock Morton, who have played there since 1879. It has a capacity of 11,589, including 5,741 seats. The ground was formerly also shared by Clydebank between 1999 and 2002. Cappielow has staged one full international match, Scotland against Wales in 1902.
James Duffy is a Scottish football coach and former player, who is currently the Director of Football at Scottish League Two club Clyde.
Thomas Gemmell was a Scottish football player and manager. Although right-footed, he excelled as a left-sided fullback and had powerful shooting ability. Gemmell is best known as one of the Celtic side who won the 1966–67 European Cup; he scored the first Celtic goal in the final. Gemmell played 18 times for Scotland, and also played for Nottingham Forest, Miami Toros and Dundee. After retiring as a player in 1977, Gemmell managed Dundee and Albion Rovers.

Weatherson also played for Newcastle Blue Star, Queen of the South and Annan Athletic. Weatherson was also joint player-manager of Shettleston in the Scottish Juniors, West Region.
Iain Thomas Russell is a Former Scottish professional footballer who last played as a forward for Cowdenbeath, on loan from Pollok.
Paul Di Giacomo is a Scottish footballer. He began his career at Kilmarnock, before dropping into the Scottish Football League First Division with Airdrie United to move closer to his partner at the time who had just had a boy named Thomas, then Ross County. He also had loan spells from Kilmarnock with Stirling Albion and Partick Thistle.
Robert Linn is a Scottish footballer who plays as a winger for Midlands League club Lochee United. Linn started his career with Dundee before signing for Peterhead. He then moved to Greenock Morton, from whom he joined East Fife, initially on loan. After spending a year in the Juniors with Ballingry Rovers, Linn signed for Arbroath in June 2013, and would spend a decade with the club which would include a rise from 9th in the Scottish League Two to coming 2nd in the Scottish Championship.
Craig Molloy is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cambuslang Rangers, in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region.
James Grady is a Scottish former footballer who spent the majority of his career in the top two divisions in Scottish football. He played as a striker, and became player/manager for Greenock Morton in the First Division between 2009 and 2010.
Keith Wright is a Scottish football player and coach. Wright played as a striker for Raith Rovers, Dundee, Hibernian, Greenock Morton, Stenhousemuir and was then a player/manager at Cowdenbeath. He played once for Scotland, in 1992. He has since worked as a football coach for junior clubs and the Scottish Football Association.
