Ankumbura is a village in Sri Lanka. It lies within Central Province's Kandy district. It is about 26 km away from Kandy. It has been bounded by Matale and Kurunegala districts. It is connected to Kandy via Pujapitiya and Ambathenna. Alawathugoda road is connected to Matale.

Meemure is a village with a population of about 420 people living in it It is located near the border between Kandy District and Matale District in the Knuckles Mountain Range. Meemure is one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka with the only access via a 14 km (8.7 mi) trail from the town of Loolwatte. There is no cellular service available in the village, but a CDMA telephone service is available. There is no direct mail delivery to the village; a villager journeys each day to Thapal Junction to exchange incoming and outgoing postal mail with a postman.

Matale Railway Station is the terminus railway station on the Matale railway line of Sri Lanka. It is the 65th railway station on the line from Colombo Fort railway station and is located in the Matale District in the Central Province. It is 148.6 kilometres (92.3 mi) from the Colombo Fort Railway Station and 27.64 kilometres (17.17 mi) from the Kandy Railway Station. The station was opened on 14 October 1880 following the construction of a branch line from Kandy to Matale.
