Anna Genover-Mas (born 1963) is a Catalan journalist and writer of children's books, one of which won the Vicenta Ferrer Vila de Paterna prize for the best children's literature book of 2007.[ citation needed ]
Genover-Mas was born in Girona in 1963. She studied journalism (BA, with Honors, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB)) [1] and worked freelance for Spanish TV. Later she did cinema studies at NYU (postgrad in Cinematography) and Screenwriting at UCLA. [1] [2]
She now lives in Barcelona.
Several of her books have been translated into English. The Grumpy Gardener (Catalan: La Jardinera Rondinaire), an ecological adventure, was published in April 2008, and two other books, the prize-winning The Hungry Sprout and The Treasure of Pakamotu are forthcoming.

Maria Àngels Anglada was a Catalan poet and novelist. She was born in Vic, Spain, in 1920. She received a degree in Classical Philology at the University of Barcelona. Her first novel, Les closes, won the Josep Pla Award. Her 1985 novel Sandàlies d'escuma won the Lletra d'Or Prize. She died in 1999.

Rosa Leveroni i Valls (1910–1985) was a Catalan poet and narrator. Born in Barcelona, she was influenced by the poet Carles Riba. Her work is published in Poesia (1981) and Contes (1981). She also wrote essays and literary criticism. She spent time revitalising Catalan language and culture in the post World War II years. She was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi in 1982. She was one of the first members of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana. She died in Cadaqués in 1985.
Anna Murià i Romaní was a Spanish narrator, translator, literary critic, and journalist of Catalan descent who wrote short stories, novels, children's literature, and essays. A feminist activist, Murià i Romaní served as secretary of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes, was a founding member of the Grup Sindical d'Escriptors Catalans, and was an Honorary Member of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana.
Aurora Díaz-Plaja i Contestí was a Catalan writer and librarian. Born in Barcelona, Díaz-Plaja also worked as a critic, journalist, lecturer, and translator during her career. She was the sister of the writers Ferran Díaz-Plaja i Contestí and Guillem Díaz-Plaja i Contestí. Her published work included topics such as library management, as well as stories for small children, in both Catalan and Spanish.
