Trujillo currently anchors Denver7 News at 5:00, 6:00 and 10:00 Monday through Friday.
Trujillo started working at KMGH as a general assignment reporter. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated with a B.S. in Journalism. [1] She was named Best Anchor by Westword Magazine in 2006. Anne was also named to the Silver Circle of NATAS National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
As of September 15, 2009, Trujillo was currently the longest tenured TV news anchor in Denver. She has been with KMGH for over 25 years. Anne will retire after 39 years at Denver 7 in November 2023. [2]

In 1969 she became the first woman and first African American television news anchor in Colorado, co-anchoring a newscast at KOA-TV in Denver. In 1980 she was part of the first group of anchors on CNN. She is the winner of many awards, including an Emmy Award, and has been inducted into numerous halls of fame. The Reynelda Muse Television Journalism Scholarship, annually awarded to an African American student majoring in television journalism, was established in her honor by the Colorado Association of Black Journalists.
