Annu Palakunnathu Matthew (born 1964) is a British, Indian and American photographer. Her work has been exhibited at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum; Harvard Art Museums; Guangzhou Biennial of Photography, China; Tang Museum, New York; and The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Matthew is a professor of art (photography) in the University of Rhode Island's Department of Art and Art History. [1]

Raghubir Singh (1942–1999) was an Indian photographer, most known for his landscapes and documentary-style photographs of the people of India. He was a self-taught photographer who worked in India and lived in Paris, London and New York. During his career he worked with National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, The New Yorker and Time. In the early 1970s, he was one of the first photographers to reinvent the use of color at a time when color photography was still a marginal art form.

Soumya Sankar Bose is an Indian documentary photographer. In his practice he uses photography, archival material and text to explore desire, identity and memory. His first book 'Where the Birds Never Sing(2020)' is on Marichjhapi massacre, the forcible eviction in 1979 of lower caste Bengali refugees on Marichjhapi Island in Sundarban, India, and the subsequent death of thousands by police gunfire, starvation, and disease. The Book was shortlisted for the First Photobook award in the Paris Photo–Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards 2020. Soumya Sanker Bose was awarded Magnum Foundation's Social Justice Fellowship for Full Moon on a Dark Night in 2017, was Hello! India's Emerging Artist of the Year in 2023, and received the Louis Roederer Discovery Public Award at Les Rencontres d'Arles for A Discreet Exit Through Darkness in 2023.

Sharon Harper is a contemporary visual artist, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harper is interested in photography as it relates to perceptual experiences between humans and the natural environment. Harper is currently professor of Art, Film, and Visual Studies at Harvard University.

Matthew Leifheit is an American photographer, writer, magazine-editor, publisher, and professor. He is based in Brooklyn, New York.

Richard Whitten is a painter and sculptor of mixed Asian and American ancestry working in Rhode Island. His early work could loosely be termed geometric abstractions, but he is best known for his later representational paintings that combine an interest in architecture, invented machinery and toys. Whitten is also known for his toy-like sculptures. Whitten was the chair of the art department at Rhode Island College (2016-2018) and continues to teach there as part of the faculty.
