Purdue University is a public land-grant research university in West Lafayette, Indiana, and the flagship campus of the Purdue University system. The university was founded in 1869 after Lafayette businessman John Purdue donated land and money to establish a college of science, technology, and agriculture in his name. The first classes were held on September 16, 1874, with six instructors and 39 students. It has been ranked as among the best public universities in the United States by major institutional rankings, and is renowned for its engineering program.

Birzeit University is a public university in the West Bank, in the State of Palestine, registered by the Palestinian Ministry of Social Affairs as charitable organization. It is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and located in Birzeit, West Bank, near Ramallah. Established in 1924 as an Elementary School for girls, Birzeit became a University in 1975.
Evelyn Fox Keller is an American physicist, author and feminist. She is Professor Emerita of History and Philosophy of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Al-Azhar University – Gaza, often abbreviated AUG, is a Palestinian, public, non-profit and independent higher education institution. During the first intifada, the Palestinian Leader Yasser Arafat issued a decree in September 1991 to establish a Palestinian national university. AUG opened journey on 18 October 1991 in two-story building with 725 students enrolled in two faculties; the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Sharia and Law. Like most educational institutes in Gaza, the university is gender-segregated.
An-Najah National University is a Palestinian non-governmental public university governed by a board of trustees. It is located in Nablus, in the northern West Bank. The university has 22,000 students and 300 professors in 19 faculties. It is the largest university in the State of Palestine.
Philippa "Pippa" Marrack, FRS is an English immunologist and academic, based in the United States, best known for her research and discoveries pertaining to T cells. Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie (Formerly known as Tulkarm Community College)is an agricultural college located in Tulkarm, in the northern West Bank. The college was inaugurated in 1930 after the British Government had received a bequest from the Iraqi-born Jewish philanthropist Sir Ellis Kadoorie. The college was named in his honour and still bears his name.
Nablus Library is the oldest and largest public library in the West Bank. The library was established by the municipality of Nablus with aid from the Jordanian government in 1960. The building itself is a 19th-century Ottoman-era structure, which was a cafe in its former life. Surrounding the library building is a garden, used as a community space for lectures and events. During the First Intifada, while most schools and universities in the West Bank were shuttered, Nablus Library remained open. In the late 1990s, the library opened a children's department for the first time. As of late 2013, the library was constructing an audiovisual room.

Qasim was a professor of political science and Palestinian studies at An-Najah National University in Nablus. He is known for his positions rejecting the settlement with Israel and critical of the Palestinian Self-Government Authority.
Sanaa AlSarghali is the first Palestinian woman to hold a PhD in constitutional law in the State of Palestine, a Palestinian researcher in the field of law and constitution, a professor of constitutional law at the College of Law at An-Najah National University, and founder and director of the Center for Constitutional Studies at An-Najah University. She holds the UNESCO Chair for Democracy, Human Rights and Peace. she is the 9th member in the Palestinian Constitution Drafting Committee, where she was appointed by the legislative arm of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Mona Nabil Demaidi, is an entrepreneur and women’s rights advocate. She was born in December 14, 1988 in Nablus, Palestine. She obtained her Ph.D. in Advanced Software Engineering and Machine Learning, MSc with distinction in Software Engineering and Data Management from the University of Manchester, UK. Dr. Mona joined an-Najah National University in 2016, to become the youngest female with a Ph.D. certificate at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in Palestine. In 2014, she became a member of Women in Engineering, and Arab Women in Computing.
Shadia Abu Ghazaleh was a Palestinian political activist, also described as a terrorist. She died in an explosion in her own home while preparing a bomb to be deployed in Tel Aviv. She is described as "among the first Palestinian women to participate in military resistance after the 1967 occupation" or "one of the first female Palestinian terrorists".
