Ansar-VDP Academy is a training institute. It is responsible for the training of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party in Bangladesh. It is located at Shafipur, Gazipur District. [1] [2] [3] [4]

History

The academy started out as the National Ansar Training Centre in 1975. In 1983 it was changed to Ansar Training School. It was changed to Ansar Academy in 1986 and again to Ansar-VDP Academy in 1995. [1]

Dhanmondi Tutorial (DT) is a private, English-medium school in the Dhanmondi residential area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was founded in 1972. As of 2016, it teaches approximately 1500 students from kindergarten through A Levels. Classes are divided into a junior and a senior section, each of which has its own campus.

Although domestic security is its main objective, the Village Defence Parties are also specifically charged with working on village development and welfare schemes.

Mahfuza Khatun is a Bangladeshi swimmer. She won two gold medals in the 50 m & 100 m breaststroke swimming at the 2016 South Asian Games at Guwahati.

Mijanur Rahman Khan is a retired major general in the Bangladesh Army. He was the director general of national paramilitary Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party.

Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan is the chairman of this bank. The bank has 259 branches across the country under 18 regions. The Bangladesh Ansar mutiny was a mutiny staged from 1 December to 4 December 1994, in Shafipur and Khilgaon by a section of the Bangladesh Ansar, a paramilitary force tasked with providing security to government installations and aiding law enforcement in Bangladesh. The mutiny prompted a series of reforms by the government.

Md Nazimuddin, psc is a retired lieutenant general of Bangladesh Army. He previously served as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of ARTDOC and 55 Infantry Division and Jessore area commander and served as Chief of General Staff (CGS) of Bangladesh Army. He was also Director General of Bangladesh Ansar & VDP. He also served as a Directing Staff in Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur Cantonment. He was commissioned in 8th BMA long course in 1983. He is a graduate of Defence Services Command & Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur Cantonment.

Sheikh Pasha Habib Uddin OSP, SGP, BAMS, afwc, psc is a retired two-star rank Bangladesh Army officer whose last appointment was director general of the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS). Prior to join BIISS, he was senior directing staff at the National Defense College. Earlier, he was commandant, Bangladesh Ordnance Factories (BOF) and the director general of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He also served as the chairman of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.

Community Bank Bangladesh Limited is one of the newly approved Scheduled Banks of Bangladesh. This bank is fully owned by Bangladesh Police Welfare Trust. Masihul Huq Chowdhury is the CEO and Managing Director of the Bank. The board meetings of the bank is held at the headquarters of Bangladesh Police. The Inspector General of Police, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, is the chairman of the bank.

AKM Aminul Haque is a Major General of Bangladesh Army officer and Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He is the chairman of the Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.

AKM Nazmul Hasan is a major general in the Bangladesh Army who is the incumbent director general of the Special Security Force. Prior to that he was DG of the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB). Prior to that position, he served as director general of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He also served as general officer commanding (GOC) of 11th Infantry Division and area commander, Bogura Area.
