Antena 21 is a Spanish-language broadcast television station in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on UHF channel 21. It's owned by Albavision. [1] It was founded in 1968 as Noticias 24 Horas. The station currently airs general entertainment programming.
Noticias 24 Horas began broadcasting on UHF channel 21 in 1968 as a news-only television station. In 1972, an earthquake destroyed the station's facilities; it returned in 1975. In 1997, the station changed its name to Antena 21. The station has changed from a news-intensive format into a general entertainment format.
In 2014, the channel secured the rights to carry the Dominican Republic team matches for Centrobasket and the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. [2]
WLII-DT, branded on-air as TeleOnce, is a television station licensed to Caguas, Puerto Rico, serving the U.S. territory as an affiliate of Univision and UniMás. Owned by Liberman Media Group, the station maintains studio facilities on Calle Carazo in Guaynabo, with additional studios at The Mall of San Juan. Its transmitter is located near the Bosque Estatal de Carite mountain reserve.
