The Antena de Oro awards, created in 1962, are awarded annually by the Federation of Radio and Television Associations of Spain to the most outstanding professionals in the field of the audiovisual industry. The jury that decides the awards is made up of the professionals themselves. The sculptor of the award is Nacho Martin. [1] [2]

The Ballon d'Or is an annual football award presented by French news magazine France Football that is one of the oldest and generally regarded as the most prestigious individual award for football players. It has been awarded since 1956, although between 2010 and 2015, an agreement was made with FIFA, and the award was temporarily merged with the FIFA World Player of the Year and known as the FIFA Ballon d'Or. However, the partnership ended in 2016, and the award reverted to the Ballon d'Or, while FIFA also reverted to its own separate annual award The Best FIFA Men's Player. The recipients of the joint FIFA Ballon d'Or are considered as winners by both award organisations.

A licentiate is a degree below that of a PhD given by universities in some countries. In others, for example almost all countries in the European Union, a licentiate is a 3 to 4 years degree, equivalent to a bachelor's degree. The term is also used for a person who holds this degree. Emilio Ángel Sánchez Vicario is a former world No. 1 doubles professional tennis player from Spain. He won five Grand Slam doubles titles and the men's doubles silver medal at the 1988 Olympic Games. Sanchez is the older brother of multiple Grand Slam winner Arantxa, with whom he teamed up to win the 1990 Hopman Cup. After retiring, he captained Spain to Davis Cup victory in 2008.

The ACB Most Valuable Player Award is an annual award of the Liga ACB, the top-tier professional basketball league in Spain. The ACB handed out the award first after the 1991–92 ACB season. Additionally, only six Spanish players have won the award: Juan Carlos Navarro, Marc Gasol, Felipe Reyes, Fernando San Emeterio, Sergio Llull and naturalized Spanish player Nikola Mirotić. The winner of the award is determined by voting by coaches, players, fans, and the media.
