Cindy Blackman Santana, sometimes known as Cindy Blackman, is an American jazz and rock drummer. Blackman has recorded several jazz albums as solo act and has performed with Pharoah Sanders, Sonny Simmons, Ron Carter, Sam Rivers, Cassandra Wilson, Angela Bofill, Buckethead, Bill Laswell and Joe Henderson. She was influenced early in her career by seeing Tony Williams perform. In 1997 she recorded the instructional video Multiplicity. "To me, jazz is the highest form of music that you can play because of the creative requirements", says Blackman. Blackman is married to rock guitarist Carlos Santana.
Ross is a 1978 studio album/compilation released by American singer Diana Ross on the Motown label. The album was a mixture of older tunes Ross recorded and newer recordings, side A consisting of four tracks recorded in 1978 and Side B of material recorded between the years 1971 and 1975, but remixed and/or extended by Motown in-house producer Russ Terrana specifically for the Ross album. Ross peaked at #49 on the US Pop Albums chart, and #32 on Black Albums. The album failed to chart in the UK. Its final USA sales figures stood at around 150,000 copies. The cover illustration was by Rickey Ricardo Gaskins. A different album also titled Ross was released on the RCA label in 1983.

Anything but Ordinary is the eleventh album by R&B singer Patrice Rushen, released on November 1, 1994. After her contract with Elektra Records expired in 1986-87, Rushen moved to Arista Records and afterwards in 1993, Patrice signed with Disney's Hollywood Records. Anything but Ordinary was first and only album to be released under her contract. Hollywood Records wasn't satisfied with the album and shelved it. Sin-Drome Records bought rights to the album and reissued it with the single "My Heart, Your Heart". Some of the album's tracks received airplay on R&B and smooth jazz radio stations.
