Anthony Amory (born 1963) is a former Bermudian cricketer. Amory was a left-handed batsman who bowled medium pace, though his bowling arm is unknown.
Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 1,070 km (665 mi) east-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina; 1,236 km (768 mi) south of Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia; and 1,759 km (1,093 mi) northeast of Cuba. The capital city is Hamilton. Bermuda is self-governing, with its own constitution and government and a Parliament which makes local laws. The United Kingdom retains responsibility for defence and foreign relations. As of July 2018, its population is 71,176, the highest of the British overseas territories.
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a 20-metre (22-yard) pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at the wicket with the bat, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this and dismiss each player. Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground. When ten players have been dismissed, the innings ends and the teams swap roles. The game is adjudicated by two umpires, aided by a third umpire and match referee in international matches. They communicate with two off-field scorers who record the match's statistical information.
In cricket, batting is the act or skill of hitting the ball with a bat to score runs or prevent the loss of one's wicket. Any player who is currently batting is denoted as a batsman, batswoman, or batter, regardless of whether batting is their particular area of expertise. Batsmen have to adapt to various conditions when playing on different cricket pitches, especially in different countries - therefore, as well as having outstanding physical batting skills, top-level batsmen will have lightning reflexes, excellent decision-making and be good strategists.
Amory made his debut for Bermuda in the 1990 ICC Trophy against Fiji, with him making four further appearances in that tournament, the last of which came against Israel. [1] He later made his List A debut for Bermuda against Trinidad and Tobago in the 1997/98 Red Stripe Bowl, with him making two further List A appearances in that tournament against the Windward Islands and Jamaica. [2] He scored a total of 43 runs in his three List A matches, at an average of 14.33 and a high score of 39. [3] With the ball, he took a single wicket from eight overs bowled. [4]
The 1990 ICC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament held in the Netherlands between 4 June and 23 June 1990. It was the fourth ICC Trophy tournament to be staged, and the first to be held outside England. It was also the first ICC Trophy competition to have a title sponsor, being known officially as the Unibind ICC Trophy. As in previous Trophies, matches were played over 60 overs a side and with white clothing and red balls. Zimbabwe won the competition for the third successive time, beating the Netherlands in the final for the second time and also winning every game they played in the tournament, and as winners qualified for the 1992 World Cup. Shortly after the Trophy had been staged, Zimbabwe were in any case promoted to Full Member status of the ICC.

The Israel national cricket team is the team that represents the State of Israel in international cricket. Despite being geographically part of the Middle East, they are members of the European Cricket Council.
