Anthony John Sarrero (born September 20, 1949), [1] also known by his stage name Anthony Denison (also credited as Anthony John Denison and Tony Denison), is an American actor.
The eldest of three, he was born and raised in Harlem. [2] He worked for John Hancock Insurance as a life insurance agent in Poughkeepsie, New York, while pursuing his acting career, starring in several stage productions around New Paltz, New York. His stage surname "Denison" was taken from his friend Jan Denison during his days as an actor and director at a nonprofit theater in the late 1970s.
Denison is most recently known for his role as Lieutenant Andy Flynn in The Closer (2005–2012) and its spin-off Major Crimes (2012–2018). [3] He is well known for his role as mob boss Ray Luca on the NBC crime drama Crime Story (1986–1988). [4] Afterwards, he starred and guest-starred in several crime movies and television programs, notably as undercover agent John Henry Raglin in Wiseguy (1987–90), The Great Escape II: The Untold Story (1988), City of Hope (1991), as Joey Buttafuoco in The Amy Fisher Story (1993), as John Gotti in Getting Gotti (1994), Criminal Passion (1994), and as head coach Mike George in ESPN's drama series Playmakers (2003). He appeared in Season 1, Episode 3, of Charmed (1998-2006) as the father of the Halliwell sisters. In 2005, he appeared on Criminal Minds as Sgt. Weigart, a role he reprised in 2020 for one episode. He played Detective Buroughs in Karla (2006). He had a recurring role as Aldo Burrows on the Fox series Prison Break (2005–2009). In 2000, he played the role of a killer for hire in Walker, Texas Ranger (1993–2001). Denison embodied "Government Investor" in the 2011 Frankie Muniz superhero film Pizza Man . Denison played "The General" in the VR movie Agent Emerson. [5]

John Joseph Gotti Jr. was an American mafioso and boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City. He ordered and helped to orchestrate the murder of Gambino boss Paul Castellano in December 1985 and took over the family shortly thereafter, leading what was described as America's most powerful crime syndicate.
Contract killing is a form of murder or assassination in which one party hires another party to kill a targeted person or people. It involves an agreement which includes some form of compensation, monetary or otherwise. It is an illegal agreement. Either party may be a person, group, or organization. Contract killing has been associated with organized crime, government conspiracies, dictatorships, and vendettas. For example, in the United States, the Italian- and Jewish-American organized crime gang Murder, Inc. committed hundreds of murders on behalf of the National Crime Syndicate during the 1930s and '40s.

Gotti is a 1996 American crime drama television film directed by Robert Harmon and written by Steve Shagan, based in part on the 1996 non-fiction book Gotti: Rise and Fall by Jerry Capeci and Gene Mustain. The film stars Armand Assante in the title role as infamous Gambino crime family boss John Gotti, along with William Forsythe, and Anthony Quinn. It aired on HBO on August 17, 1996.
Peter Arthur Gotti was an American mobster. He was the boss of the Gambino crime family, part of the American Mafia, and the elder brother of the former Gambino boss John Gotti.
John Angelo Gotti is an American former mobster who was the acting boss of the Gambino crime family from 1991 to 1999. He became acting boss when the boss of the family, his father John Gotti, was sent to prison. The younger Gotti was imprisoned for racketeering in 1999, and between 2004 and 2009 he was a defendant in four racketeering trials, each of which ended in a mistrial. In January 2010, federal prosecutors announced that they would no longer seek to prosecute Gotti for those charges.

Angelo Salvatore Ruggiero Sr., also known as "Quack Quack", was a member of the Gambino crime family and a friend of John Gotti's. Once Gotti became leader of the family he made Ruggiero a caporegime. Although he showed little organizing or money making ability, anyone questioning Ruggiero's suitability for a top position in the hierarchy did so at their peril so the FBI regarded Ruggiero as an unpredictable psychopath not amenable to confrontational tactics. While Gotti was held in pretrial detention for a state case that he eventually beat, Ruggiero served as his contact with the crime family until the impulsive capo got himself thrown in jail beside Gotti by cursing and arguing with the judge during a hearing. This blunder lost Ruggiero any chance he had of becoming Gotti's underboss.
Anthony J. Rampino, also known as "Tony Roach", was an American mobster who was affiliated with the Gambino crime family of New York City, and involved in truck hijacking and drug trafficking.
The Genovese crime family's New Jersey faction is a group of Italian-American mobsters within the Genovese crime family who control organized crime activities within the state of New Jersey. The New Jersey faction is divided into multiple crews each led by a different caporegime who oversees illegal criminal activities in labor racketeering, illegal gambling, loansharking and extortion. The Genovese crime family's New Jersey faction has maintained a strong presence in the Northern Jersey area since the early prohibition era. A number of powerful mobsters within the New Jersey faction such as Guarino "Willie" Moretti, Gerardo "Jerry" Catena and Louis "Bobby" Manna have each held positions within the Genovese family's administration. From the 1990s until his death in 2010, Tino "the Greek" Fiumara was one of the most powerful caporegimes in the New Jersey faction.

The Many Saints of Newark is a 2021 American crime drama film directed by Alan Taylor and written by David Chase and Lawrence Konner. A prequel to Chase's HBO crime drama series The Sopranos, it takes place during the 1960s and 1970s in Newark, New Jersey. The film follows a violent gang war from the perspectives of mobster Dickie Moltisanti and his teenage nephew, Tony Soprano, in the midst of the city's 1967 riots. It stars Alessandro Nivola as Dickie and Michael Gandolfini as Tony, the character originated by his father in the series, with Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Billy Magnussen, Michela De Rossi, John Magaro, Ray Liotta, and Vera Farmiga in supporting roles. This marks Liotta's final release performance before his death the following year.
