Billy Eugene Self Jr. is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas, a position he has held since 2003. During his 17 seasons as head coach, he has led the Jayhawks to 15 Big 12 regular season championships, including a share of an NCAA record 14 consecutive Big 12 regular season championships (2005–2018). He has also led the Jayhawks to three NCAA Final Four appearances, and the 2008 NCAA championship. Self was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017. Self, as of the end of the 2020–21 season, has the 19th most wins among Division I coaches in NCAA history and 6th among active head coaches.
Edward Eugene Sutton was an American college basketball coach. A native of Bucklin, Kansas, Sutton played college basketball at Oklahoma A&M and was a head coach at the high school, junior college, and college levels spanning six decades.
Daniel Ricardo Manning is an American college basketball coach and retired National Basketball Association (NBA) player. He most recently served as the men's head coach at Wake Forest. Manning played high school basketball at Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, NC as well as Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas. He played college basketball at the University of Kansas, and played in the NBA for 14 years. After retiring from professional basketball Manning became an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Kansas. He won the national championship with the Jayhawks in 1988 as a player, and again as an assistant in 2008. He is the all-time leading scorer in Kansas basketball history with 2,951 points. The next closest player to his point total is Nick Collison, who is 854 points behind Manning. Following the termination of Jeff Long as University of Kansas athletic director in March 2021, Manning publicly expressed interest in the post, saying his "love and passion for KU is utmost."

Kenneth Franklin Trickey Sr. was an American basketball coach, best known for his two stints as the head coach for the men's basketball team at Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was especially remembered for ORU's high-scoring "run and gun" teams of the early 1970s, which helped the young, small school attain national attention and competitive success, including a spot in the Elite Eight in the 1974 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. After his death in 2012, the Tulsa World called him "one of the most influential and colorful characters in this state’s basketball history".

Dana Lewis is a retired American collegiate and professional basketball player. Lewis was a 1st Round selection of the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1971 NBA Draft out of the University of Tulsa.
Kermit Leanell Holmes is an American basketball coach and former professional player. After sitting our his first year of college basketball due to Proposition 48, he played three years with the Oklahoma Sooners, being selected as a starter in his senior season. He went undrafted in the 1991 NBA Draft and played several years in the CBA, where he won two championships and earned two selections in the United States national team, winning the gold medal during the FIBA Americas Championship 1997 and the silver medal at the 1999 Pan American Games. After the end of his playing career he started coaching.
