Anthony Noreen (born February 11, 1983) is an American ice hockey coach, and current head coach of the Miami RedHawks men's ice hockey team.
Noreen began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his Alma Mater University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. [1] After coaching for three years with the Pointers, on August 10, 2011, he was named the head coach for the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League (USHL). On April 30, 2012, the Phantoms signed Noreen to a two-year contract extension. [2] His 2014–15 Youngstown team set a USHL record with a 17-game win streak en route to claiming the Anderson Cup for the first time in franchise history. The Phantoms ranked first in goals scored (223), power play goals (65), and shorthanded goals (16), and allowed the third fewest goals (166). Following the season he was named USHL Coach of the Year. During his four years with the Phantoms he led the team to a 126–99–10–9 overall record. [3]
On June 30, 2015, he was named head coach for the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. [4] During his two seasons with the Solar Bears he led the team to a 38–35–4–6 overall record. On November 14, 2016, he was relieved of his duties as head coach. [5]
On May 26, 2017, he was named the head coach for the Tri-City Storm of the USHL. [6] His 2018–19 Storm team finished the season with a 45–12–3–2 record and won the Anderson Cup. They set a new team record with 232 goals scored and 45 wins. Following the season he was named USHL Coach of the Year. [7] On November 19, 2019, he was promoted to President of Hockey Operations. [8] On April 14, 2020, Noreen signed a two-year contract extension with the Storm through the 2023–24 season. [9] His 2021–22 Storm team finished the season with a 47–11–3–1 record, won a second consecutive Western Conference Regular Season Championship and the third Anderson Cup Championship in franchise history. The Storm tied a USHL record with 98 points in the standings, and broke the franchise record with 47 wins. [1] They set a team record for goals scored (260), assists (470), points (729), and powerplay goals (83). Following the season he was again named USHL Coach of the Year. [10] His finished his tenure with the Storm with a 236–126–24–18 overall record, making him the winningest coach in franchise history. His Storm teams qualified for the playoffs in each of his seven seasons as head coach. [11]
On April 1, 2024, Noreen was named head coach for the Miami RedHawks men's ice hockey team. [12] [13]
Noreen was an assistant coach of the U.S. Junior Select Team at the World Junior A Challenge in 2017, where he helped the team to a silver medal. He then served as the head coach at the World Junior A Challenge in 2018 and won a gold medal and again in 2019 and won a bronze medal. [14] [15]

The Youngstown SteelHounds was a professional ice hockey team which participated in the Central Hockey League (CHL) from the 2005–2006 season through the 2007–2008 season. The team was affiliated with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL and the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. The team played its home games at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio.
The Sioux Falls Stampede are a Tier I junior ice hockey team based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Stampede are members of the Western Conference of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The team plays home games at the Denny Sanford Premier Center, the largest facility in capacity and size in the USHL. The team was established in 1999 and is owned by Sioux Falls Sports LLC.
The Tri-City Storm is a Tier I junior ice hockey team based in Kearney, Nebraska, that plays in the Western Conference of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Its name refers to the three central Nebraskan cities of Kearney, Hastings, and Grand Island.
John A. Stevens is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is an assistant coach of the Vegas Golden Knights. He is the former head coach of the Los Angeles Kings and the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Stevens was a defenceman for the Flyers and Hartford Whalers during his playing career. Stevens was born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, but grew up in Turkey Point in Norfolk County, Ontario.
William Raymond Muckalt is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who is currently the head coach at Lindenwood. He was previously the associate head coach at Michigan. He was the head coach and general manager of the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League. Muckalt played in the National Hockey League for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Wild from 1998 until 2003. In 2016, Muckalt led the Tri-City Storm to its first Clark Cup during his first season as head coach and general manager.
The Youngstown Phantoms are a Tier I junior ice hockey team that plays in the Eastern Conference of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The team plays home games at the 5,200-seat Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio. The team was co-owned by Bruce J. Zoldan and Troy Loney along with his wife Aafke Loney. In the summer of 2018, the Loney's sold their interests to the Black Bear Sports Group led by CEO Murry Gunty.
Troy Ayne Loney is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger. He was part owner of the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL before selling it to Black Bear Sports Group Inc. in June 2018.
Jim Montgomery is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Originally undrafted by teams in the NHL, he played a total of six seasons for the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, San Jose Sharks, and Dallas Stars.

Jarod James Palmer is an American former professional ice hockey forward who played with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League. He is a native of Fridley, Minnesota, and an alum of the USNTDP, where he played for two seasons. Palmer was a member of the silver medal-winning U.S. squad at the World Under-18 Championship in 2004. After graduating from high school, he spent two seasons in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm. Palmer then completed four years of collegiate hockey at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He made his NHL debut with the Wild on December 17, 2011.
Nathan Walker is a Welsh-born Australian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). Walker, who was born in Wales, grew up in Australia and first played ice hockey there. He moved to the Czech Republic in 2007 in order to further his career, and joined the junior program of HC Vítkovice, a member of the Czech Extraliga. He first played for the senior team in 2011, becoming the first Australian ice hockey player to play for a professional senior team in Europe. Along with HC Vítkovice, Walker was loaned to several lower-level Czech teams.
The Orlando Solar Bears are a professional ice hockey team that plays their home games at Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. They play in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference and are affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League and Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
The 2009–10 USHL season is the 31st season of the United States Hockey League as an all-junior league. The regular season began on October 2, 2009, and concluded on April 3, 2010, with the regular season champion winning the Anderson Cup. The 2009–10 USHL season was the first to include both the Youngstown Phantoms and the US Nation Team Development Program, both of whom left the North American Hockey League. As a result of two new teams being added to the East Division, the Des Moines Buccaneers were moved to the West Division.

The 2018–19 USHL season was the 40th season of the United States Hockey League as an all-junior league. The regular season ran from September 27, 2018, to April 13, 2019. The Tri-City Storm were awarded the Anderson Cup as regular season champions for accumulating 95 points over 62 games. The season concluded with the Sioux Falls Stampede defeating the Chicago Steel in the Clark Cup Final series 3–0 on May 17, 2019.

Jacob Fowler is an American college ice hockey goaltender for Boston College of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He was selected in the third round, 69th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
