Anthony Solomon (born December 1, 1964) is an American college basketball coach, currently the associate head coach for the University of Notre Dame. He was the head coach for St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York from 2003 to 2007.
Solomon played college basketball for Virginia from 1983 to 1987, where he was a part of their 1984 Final Four team. Following his playing career, he entered coaching in 1988 as a graduate assistant at Delaware. After assistant coaching stints at several schools, he joined Mike Brey's first staff at Notre Dame in 2000. [1]
In 2003, St. Bonaventure was reeling from an academic fraud scandal and resulting NCAA sanctions. In searching for a replacement for fired coach Jan van Breda Kolff, Solomon was hired based on his honest reputation and ideas for bringing the program back. [2] While Solomon achieved the goal of restoring a clean program, his teams had a 24–88 record over his four seasons and he was fired after a 7–22 campaign in 2006–07. [3]
Solomon landed as an assistant at Dayton the next season, then had a second stint at Notre Dame and a season as an assistant at Georgetown. In 2017 he was hired as associate head coach at Dayton under head coach Anthony Grant. [1]
Gerard Anthony Faust is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Notre Dame from 1981 to 1985 and at the University of Akron from 1986 to 1994, compiling a career college football record of 73–79–4. From 1962 to 1980, Faust was the head football coach at Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he tallied a mark of 178–23–2 and won four mythical High School Football National Championships. Before coaching, Faust enjoyed a successful stint as a quarterback at the University of Dayton, where he played under former Notre Dame coach Hugh Devore. Faust was offered a partial scholarship to Notre Dame, but enrolled at Dayton, where he graduated in 1958.
Anthony Duvale Grant is an American basketball coach who is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Dayton. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2006 to 2009, and at the University of Alabama from 2009 to 2015. Prior to becoming the VCU head coach, he was an assistant coach at the University of Florida from 1996 to 2006.
David Vanterpool is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He most recently served as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). During his playing career, he earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection during the 2003–04 season, while playing with Montepaschi Siena.
Matthew Francis Doherty is an American former college basketball coach best known for his time as head coach of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at UNC he spent one season as head coach of the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's basketball program.
Hugh John Devore was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Providence College (1938–1941), the University of Notre Dame, St. Bonaventure University (1946–1949), New York University,(1950–1952), and the University of Dayton (1954–1955), compiling a career college football coaching record of 58–65–7. Devore was also the head coach for Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL), tallying a mark of 7–18–1. He played college football at Notre Dame as an end from 1931 to 1933.
Joseph Winston Scott is an American college basketball coach who is currently in his second stint as the head coach at Air Force. Scott previously was head coach at Air Force once before, as well as at Princeton and Denver.
Michael Anthony Haywood is am American former college football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio from 2009 to 2010 and Texas Southern University (TSU) from 2016 to 2018, compiling a career head coaching record of 18–40. Haywood was as an assistant coach at various other universities for 21 seasons. He was initially hired as the head football coach at the University of Pittsburgh in December 2010, but was fired from that position shortly thereafter following domestic violence charges that he pleaded guilty to and received a plea deal agreed to by victim. Haywood played football at the University of Notre Dame as a wide receiver and defensive back from 1984 to 1986.
The Dayton Flyers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) representing the University of Dayton in Ohio. The Flyers play their home games at University of Dayton Arena. The Flyers are coached by Anthony Grant who is in his fifth season. In March 2020, Dayton was ranked #3 in the AP Top 25 Poll, its highest ranking since the 1955–56 season when it was ranked #2. The Flyers have never been ranked #1, but Dayton did receive a lone first place vote in the final AP poll of the 2019-2020 season.

The Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represents Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Big East Conference, and are coached by Sean Miller. Xavier has appeared in the NCAA tournament 29 times, 16 times in the 18 tournaments between 2001 and 2018. On March 11, 2018, Xavier earned its first ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Xavier is also a two-time winner of the NIT, with their most recent championship coming in 2022.

Robert S. Ianello is an American football coach. He is the general manager with the Kansas Jayhawks, a position he had held since the 2021 season. Ianello served as the head football coach at the University of Akron from 2010 to 2011, compiling a record of 2–22. He was fired after the 2011 season. He succeeded J. D. Brookhart, who was relieved of his duties after the 2009 season in which the Akron Zips went 3–9. Before he was hired at Akron, Ianello had been an assistant football coach since 1988, including stints at the University of Alabama, the University of Wisconsin, the University of Arizona, and the University of Notre Dame.

John Brannen is an American basketball coach currently serving as a program analyst and senior special assistant for the University of Dayton Flyers. He was most recently the men's basketball coach of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats. Brannen previously spent four seasons as the head coach for the Northern Kentucky University Norse. Before that he spent nine seasons as an assistant coach to Anthony Grant at both VCU and Alabama. For the Tide's two games in the 2015 National Invitation Tournament, Brannen served as interim head coach.
Raymond Eugene "Kevin" Sutton is an American college basketball coach, currently an assistant coach at the University of Rhode Island. Sutton previously served as the head boys basketball coach at Bishop McNamara, Montrose Christian, Montverde Academy and was the head coach for Team USA in the 2011 Nike/USA Basketball Hoop Summit.
The 2017–18 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball season was the 42nd season of Atlantic 10 Conference basketball. The season began with practices in October 2017, followed by the start of the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. League play began in late December and ended on March 3, 2018.
