Anthony Spanos (born 5 May 1995) is an Australian actor. He has starred in the Australian television series Streetsmartz and more recently Trapped . He attended Trinity College in Perth, Western Australia.
In the children/teenage television series Trapped (2008, Northway Productions Pty Ltd, 7 Network), Spanos plays the character of Josh Jacobs. [1] When the mysterious disappearance of their parents from a remote scientific research station takes place, they leave a group of children trapped in a dangerous paradise. [2]
Spanos plays the character of Hector Papdopoulos in the children/teenage television series Streetsmartz (2005–2006, Nine Network). Streetsmartz is centered on the lives of a group of children, their friends and family who live in Fremantle, in Western Australia. Three series, with a total of 39 episodes, were screened.
The character of Hector is described as 'nine going on nineteen'. He's a sidekick and partner to his brother's business ventures but often reluctantly – Hector is more interested in having fun and causing havoc than in actually working. [3]
Spanos appeared in Castaway , a spin-off from Trapped. He reprised the character of Josh Jacobs.

Kangaroo Creek Gang is an Australian children's television cartoon series that first screened on the Nine Network in 2002. It was produced by Southern Star Group and based on a set of reading books created from 1981 that follow the adventures of a group of Australian bush animals. Prior to the television series, the original Kangaroo Creek Gang Cassette Tapes for the read-along books were recorded in the early 1980s in Perth, Western Australia and were voiced by Gregory Ker amongst others. Ker voiced the characters of Kevin Kangaroo, Wal Wombat, Tiddles Tiger Snake, Ranger West and also voiced the narrator for some of the read-along books. Helen Matthews, a well-known jazz singer, was also present for the cassette tape recordings and recorded the songs that were on the tapes.

The 26-part series was shot entirely on location in and around Broome, Western Australia from May to October 2008. A follow-up series entitled Castaway began airing on the Seven Network on 12 February 2011. Many of the actors in the main cast of Trapped reprised their roles.

Jonah from Tonga is an Australian television mockumentary sitcom miniseries that is written by and starring comedian Chris Lilley. The mockumentary series follows Jonah Takalua, a rebellious 14-year-old Australian boy of Tongan descent portrayed by Lilley. The character had been introduced in Lilley's 2007 series Summer Heights High. At the conclusion of that series, Jonah was expelled from Summer Heights High School. In this series, his father, Rocky Takalua, has sent him back to his homeland of Tonga to live with his uncle and their family in order to get Jonah's life back on track. The series was highly controversial for its use of brownface and ethnic stereotypes.
Jackson Gallagher is an Australian actor and professional photographer from Victoria, Australia. All cast members are Indigenous Australians, and the children are first-time actors. There are guest appearances by seasoned actors Elaine Crombie, Trisha Morton-Thomas, and Hunter Page-Lochard. It was filmed in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
