Antidote is a Dutch punk band formed in 1996. Inspiration for the band came when the band members had a jam session at the squat De Blauwe Aanslag. [1] The band has released five full-length studio albums [2] [3] and toured extensively in Europe, North America, and Russia with prominent US punk bands such as The Casualties and The Virus. [4] Antidote's music has been categorized as punk, hardcore, or straight edge. [5] They write politically motivated songs with lyrics that support the squatting movement, are anti-fascist, anti-homophobic, and even criticize the punk scene itself. [6]
In December 2012, Antidote officially announced their break-up. [7] In 2017, the band reunited for a series of festival performances. Bart and Arne Smeels, members of Antidote, have been active with the Utrecht-based punk band Bakfietsboys, Arne Smeels has also produced solo cassettes as Arne S.
MDC is an American punk rock band formed in 1979 in Austin, Texas, subsequently based in San Francisco, and currently Portland, Oregon. Among the first wave of bands to define the sound and style of American hardcore punk, MDC originally formed as The Stains; they have periodically changed the meaning of "MDC", the most frequent being Millions of Dead Cops. The band's lyrical content expresses radical left political views and has proven influential within the punk subculture.

Terrorgruppe is a German punk rock band from Berlin-Kreuzberg founded in February 1993. The band writes lyrics in German, and their music is usually categorized as fun-punk. Their lyrics address social and political themes on occasion; for example in the song "Kinderwahnsinn" they discuss the idea of zero population growth, and in the song "Neulich Nacht" they address the topics of homosexuality and homophobia. Their lyrics are also against right-wing extremism, a common theme for many German punk bands. Terrorgruppe is known for live performances involving on-stage gags and audience participation. They played at the Chaostage in Hannover in 1995, and wrote the song "Wochenendticket" about the experience.
The Ex is an underground band from the Netherlands, started in 1979 at the height of the original punk explosion as a Dutch punk band. The Ex originated from the squatting movement in Amsterdam and Wormer, and was inspired by bands like The Fall and The Mekons.

Die Skeptiker is a German punk band founded in 1986 in East Berlin. The band is one of the most significant punk bands in East Germany, and belongs to the group of punk bands known as die anderen Bands, along with Sandow, Die Art, Feeling B, Tausend Tonnen Obst, and Die Firma. Although they performed songs critical of the Wall, they were able to gain an official license to perform live shows (Spielerlaubnis) by the East German state by writing intelligent lyrics with criticism between the lines. Dritte Wahl, also written 3. Wahl is a German punk rock band from Rostock in Germany. Their music is classified as Deutschpunk and displays clear metal influences. Dritte Wahl’s lyrics are in German and are very direct, politically motivated, and left-leaning. As a German punk band, and particularly as a punk band formed in the former East Germany under the communist state, their songs handle common themes. In the song Macht die Augen auf they took on the subject of the 1992 anti-immigrant Rostock-Lichtenhagen riots. In their song Mainzer Straße, Dritte Wahl describe the Battle of Mainzer Straße that took place in East Berlin in 1990 when the city decided to clear the squatted houses. In their song Bad K., Dritte Wahl describe the contested circumstances of the death of Wolfgang Grams, a member of the far-left Red Army Faction.
Vic Bondi is an American singer-songwriter and one of the founding members of political Chicago hardcore punk band Articles of Faith. He went on to form Alloy, and Jones Very after AoF's demise. At the time of AoF's original breakup Bondi was working as a history instructor at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Bondi's subsequent day jobs included working on Microsoft's Encarta as well as other projects in educational and media software. After a hiatus in the late 90s, Bondi resurfaced with new bands, Report Suspicious Activity and Dead Ending. He was featured in the documentaries American Hardcore and You Weren't There.
Asta Kask is a Swedish punk band from Töreboda, Sweden, founded in 1978. Asta Kask plays melodic punk music with Swedish lyrics; they are a foundational band for the musical subgenre known as trallpunk.
Blanks 77 is an American punk rock band active from 1990 to 2001, and again from 2004 onward. Originally based in Hillside, New Jersey, they have since relocated to Denville.

Originally, the band name was "Es Eskaliert" which means “it escalates”, the band decided to replace it with the actual SS-Kaliert name because it was more eye-attractive as a logo.

Their combination of thought-provoking German lyrics and fast, energetic punk rock has made Razzia one of the most important early German punk bands. In their lyrics, Razzia explore and criticize a range of social and political issues, generally adopting a cynical, pessimistic, and counter-culture point of view.
PVC is a German punk band founded in 1977; it was the first German punk band in West-Berlin, and mainly wrote song lyrics in English. PVC's song Wall City Rock, became iconic in the rock music scene in Berlin, and is a well-known anthem of 70s punk rock in general. Their song "Berlin by Night" has been covered by many other German punk bands, including Slime. Both of these songs have been called all-time classics. On August 6, 1977, PVC put on the first official punk concert in Berlin. EA80 is a German punk band founded in Mönchengladbach in West Germany in 1979. EA80’s music includes sophisticated lyrics that are written in German and rarely rhyme. As a matter of principle, the band produces no merchandise or promotional material. Since the beginning of the 1990s, they have given few interviews. When they have granted interviews it has been on the condition that no recording of the interview be made and that their answers will not be directly quoted. On the band's official website, there only appears the name of the band, and no further information. They prefer to advertise their rare concerts only with local flyers and by word of mouth, and have usually been able to sell-out concerts that way.
Rasta Knast is a German punk band founded in the city of Celle, Germany in 1997. The band name is a playful reference to the Swedish punk band Asta Kask, known as a foundational band of Swedish punk rock, and the musical genre trallpunk. Rasta Knast's music is in the musical style of trallpunk, but generally uses German-language lyrics rather than Swedish-language lyrics. They have covered songs from Swedish punk bands Asta Kask, Radioaktiva Räker, and the Troublemakers.
