Anton Refalo (born 1956 in Gozo) is a Maltese politician from the Labour Party. He was first elected to the Parliament of Malta in the 1987 Maltese general election from District 13. [1] He has held a number of roles in the Maltese Government, including Minister for Gozo Affairs and Agriculture minister. [2]

Dominic Mintoff was a Maltese Socialist politician, architect, and civil engineer who was leader of the Labour Party from 1949 to 1984, and was 8th Prime Minister of Malta from 1955 to 1958, when Malta was still a British colony, and again, following independence, from 1971 to 1984. His tenure as Prime Minister saw the creation of a comprehensive welfare state, nationalisation of large corporations, a substantial increase in the general standard of living and the establishment of the Maltese republic, but was later on marred by a stagnant economy, a rise in authoritarianism and outbreaks of political violence.
Comino is a small island of the Maltese archipelago between the islands of Malta and Gozo in the Mediterranean Sea, measuring 3.5 square kilometres (1.4 sq mi) in area. Named after the cumin seed, the island has a permanent population of only two residents and is part of the municipality of Għajnsielem, in southeastern Gozo, from where one priest and one policeman commute. The island is a bird sanctuary and nature reserve.

Myriam Spiteri Debono or Miriam Spiteri Debono is a Maltese politician who is the 11th and current President of Malta. She is the first Gozitan woman to be elected to the position. She was also the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malta from 1996 to 1998, and the first woman to hold the position.

Justyne Caruana is a Maltese lawyer, politician, former Minister for Gozo and former Minister for Education. She was appointed on 9 June 2017 in the second cabinet of Joseph Muscat and reconfirmed by new Prime Minister Robert Abela before resigning one week later on 20 January 2020 and replaced with Clint Camilleri. After 11 months, she was re-appointed to Cabinet on 23 November 2020 as the new Minister for Education by Robert Abela. She then resigned from Minister for Education on 22 December 2021.

The Malta–Gozo Tunnel is a planned undersea tunnel between the islands of Malta and Gozo, both part of the Republic of Malta. The tunnel would replace the Gozo Channel Line, the current inter-island ferry service, between Ċirkewwa in Malta and Mġarr in Gozo.

Clint Camilleri is a Maltese politician, architect and civil engineer, currently serving as Minister for Gozo in the Prime Minister Robert Abela's cabinet of 2020. Among the youngest members of cabinet, Camilleri previously served as a Parliamentary Secretary and a Minister in former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat's cabinet. Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament and Minister, he was the Mayor of Qala in 2017.
Clifton Grima is a Maltese lawyer and politician who has served in the Parliament of Malta since 2016. A member of the Labour Party, Grima is also the Minister for Education and Sport.
