Antony (Tony) John Chapman OBE (1947-2022) was a British psychologist and university administrator.
Chapman was awarded a PhD by the University of Leicester. [1] He was then appointed as a lecturer at the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology. [1] In 1983 he moved to the University of Leeds as Professor of Psychology and Head of Department where he was promoted to Dean of Science and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. [1] [2]
In 1998, he was appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. [1] [3] He was editor of the British Journal of Psychology and editor-in-chief/editor of Current Psychology.

Wheeler has given major addresses and led workshops around the world, and has also been cited as "one of the world's leading experts" on the governance of pensions. In August 2023 her appointment as the incoming Vice-Chancellor of Birkbeck, University of London, was announced.

She was appointed an OBE for her work in brain injury rehabilitation over 40 years for "medical rehabilitation". She was a clinical psychologist, and is now (2019) retired. She was shortlisted for a Lifetime Achievement Award in the NHS70 Parliamentary Awards in 2018 for her dedication to brain injury rehabilitation.
