Anup D'Costa (born 7 January 1993 in Kundapura, Karnataka) is an Indian volleyball player, [1] represented India in 2010 Asian Youth Boys Volleyball Championship held in Azadi Volleyball Hall, Tehran, Iran from 13 to 21 May 2010. He was judged Best Scorer of the Championship.He is Ekalavya award winner.

Early life

Anup D'Costa was born on 7 January 1993 at Kundapur village, Karnataka. He started playing from 2007. In 2008, he got national attention when he played Junior national from Karnataka Team. Because of his national level recognition, he was rewarded with a job in Income Tax department in 2013.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the governing body for cricket in India and is under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The 2010 Asian Youth Boys Volleyball Championship was held in Azadi Volleyball Hall, Tehran, Iran from 13 to 21 May 2010.

Ram Kumar is a former Indian basketball player and coach of the junior Indian team. He is currently the coach of the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala team, and has been a long-standing coach of the Indian Railways men's team. He played for India during 1985 to 1996 and represented the Indian national basketball team at several international championships. He also served as the captain of Indian national basketball team from 1991 to 1995. He played the position of shooting guard. In the National Championships, Ram Kumar represented Indian Railways and during his playing days, Indian Railways won eight Gold, three Silver, and three Bronze medals. Ram Kumar is the son of former basketball player Khushi Ram, an Arjuna awardee and the brother of Ashok Kumar, also an India international player. Anup Kumar is an Indian former professional Kabaddi player and Kabaddi Coach of PKL Team Puneri Paltan. In 2012, the Government of India conferred the Arjuna Award on him for his achievements in the sport. He is employed as a Deputy Commissioner of Police in his native State of Haryana. On 19 December 2018, he announced his retirement from kabbadi.

Kempa Govindaraj is Indian National Congress activist, member of Karnataka Legislative Council, Vice-President of Indian Olympic Association and President of the Basketball Federation of India. He was the Chief ministers parliamentary secretary in the Siddaramaiah cabinet.
