The film was remade in 1981 in Telugu as Taxi Driver starring Krishnam Raju and in 1982 in Tamil with the same name starring Vijayakanth.
Vietnam Veedu Sundaram was an Indian playwright, screenwriter and film director. He wrote films such as Gauravam, Vietnam Veedu, Gnana Oli, Satyam, Grihapravesam, Justice Gopinath, Annan Oru Koyil, Naan Yen Pirandhen and Naalai Namadhe. He also directed a few films and is well known for his family themes. He written stories films in languages such as Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. He also worked as an actor in films and television.

Crazy Kutumba is a 2010 Kannada comedy film directed by B. Ramamurthy and produced by Ravi Joshi for Luv Kush Productions banner. The story is a remake of Marathi film De Dhakka (2008) which was inspired from the Hollywood film, Little Miss Sunshine (2006).

The film's score and songs were composed by Vijaya Bhaskar to the lyrics of Chi. Udaya Shankar. The cinematography was by S. Ramachandra. The director remade the movie in Hindi in 1988 as Ganga Tere Desh Mein.
Manasella Neene is a 2002 Indian Kannada-language romance film directed by Mugur Sundar, a popular choreographer marking his debut in film direction. The film stars his youngest son Nagendra Prasad and Gayathri Raguram with Ananth Nag and Srinath in supporting roles. This film is the remake of the Telugu film Manasantha Nuvve (2001).
Anant Nag is an Indian actor and occasional film producer who appears as an actor in predominantly in Kannada films and a few Hindi and Telugu films. In a career spanning over 5 decades, he has appeared in over 270 films. After having had a successful theatre career, he made his debut in P. V. Nanjaraja Urs' Kannada film Sankalpa, and Shyam Benegal's Dakhani film Ankur, with the former seeing theatrical release first, in 1973, and won multiple awards at the 1972–73 Karnataka State Film Awards. In G. V. Iyer's 1975 film Hamsageethe, he played the role of Bhairavi Venkatasubbiah, a performance that won critical praise, and the film was awarded the Best Feature Film in Kannada at the 23rd National Film Awards.
Athipookal was an Indian Tamil-language soap opera that aired during weekdays on Sun TV from 3 December 2007 to 14 December 2012. The show starred Devadarshini, Chetan, Sandhya Jagarlamudi, Venkat, Raani, Vietnam Veedu Sundaram, Thilakshi, T. S. Raghavendar, Premi and V.R. Thilakam. It was produced by Saregama and directed by K. Shanmugam, R.P Marudhu and K.Shiva. It is one of the most well known serials that aired on Sun TV in the afternoon slot. It received high praise and was a hit for the channel. The show was retelecasted at the same channel from March 1, 2021 to March 25, 2022 at 10:30 am.
