Apiate (also known as Apeatse) [1] is a mining village situated along the Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayamfuri road in Ghana. [2] [3] It was a victim of infrastructure destruction and casualties as a result of the 2022 Bogoso explosion. [4] [5] [6] [7]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 Bogoso explosion</span> Explosion along Tarkwa-Bogoso road, Ghana

On 20 January 2022, a large explosion occurred along the Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayamfuri road in Western Region, Ghana, after a truck transporting mining explosives collided with a motorcycle. The explosion levelled the nearby Apiate village, killing 13 people and injuring 200.

Prang is a town and a capital of the Pru East District, a district in the Bono East Region of Ghana. Most people in the town are a farmers and traders.
