The Apollon Lympion is Athletic Club and Cultural Association based in Lympia village of Nicosia district. The official color of the Apollon Lympion is blue, symbolizing the desire of the Greek Cypriots for union of Cyprus with mainland Greece.

History

Foundation

The association was founded in 1948 with the name Religious Orthodox Foundation (THOI) Agios Georgios Lympion.

Rename

In 1954 renamed Athletic Club Apollon Lympion.

Headquarters

The club has its own stadium, the Stadium Apollon Lympion.

Football Team

Titles In 1980, they won the championship of STOCK and joined the KOP. They struggled in the tournament B category s, C class s and D category s . In 2004 they left the CFA due to financial problems and has since been struggling to agricultural championships.

Gymnastic Club "The Pancyprians" Stadium is a football stadium in Strovolos, Nicosia District, Cyprus. Although small by international standards, it is the largest stadium in Cyprus, with a capacity of 22,859 and was opened in 1999. It serves as the home stadium for the two Nicosia's biggest clubs APOEL and Omonia. It is also the home stadium of the Cyprus national football team. A stadium under the same name, the old GSP Stadium, existed from 1902 until 1999 in the centre of Nicosia and had a capacity of 12,000.

The Stelios Kyriakides Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Paphos, the stadium holds 9,394 people. It has a full size running track around the outside of its football and rugby playing field and is used for many athletics events throughout the year. It is regarded as one of the best pitches in Cyprus and situated ideally for the public. Until 25 May 2017 its name was Pafiako Stadium, but Cyprus Sport Organisation change its name to Stelios Kyriakides Stadium after marathon runner Stelios Kyriakides.

The 2018–19 Cypriot Cup was the 77th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 24 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It began on 5 December 2018 with the first round and concluded on 22 May 2019 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEL Limassol for seventh time and qualified for the 2019–20 Europa League second qualifying round.
