Arie van Os (born 1937) is a Dutch businessman and financial director. [1]
Arie van Os made his fortune as partner of the company Van der Moolen. In the eighties he was the director and chairman of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, together with his then flamboyant partner Hans Kroon. [2]
In 1989 he became the financial director of AFC Ajax where his reputation grew. [3] He then spent three days in jail due to a tight policy on alleged tax malpractice on behalf of the club with the transfers of Michael Laudrup and Shota Arveladze.
His position at the club was then succeeded by Ajax banker Hein Blocks. [4]

HVV is an amateur football club in The Hague, Netherlands. It was founded in 1883 as an extension of HCC, (The) Hague Cricket Club. In 1978, on the occasion of the club's centenary, Queen Juliana granted the club royal patronage, with prefix Koninklijke ("Royal"), because of its pioneering role in sport, including in the formation of the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) in 1889.
