Ariful Haque (born 12 October 1934) is a Bangladeshi actor and writer. [1] [2] [3] His debut in the films was through Uttarayan in 1963, directed by Agradoot. Later he migrated to East Pakistan (present-day Bangladesh) and took part in many films. [1] He wrote many books among which Hyadarabad Tragedy o Ajker Bangladesh was notable. [4]

Early life

Ariful Haque was born at his maternal uncles's place of village Mahadevpur of Bagnan region of Hawrah District of India on 12 October 1938. [2] He went to Barakpur Govt High School, Uluberia College and Jadavpur University for education.[ citation needed ]

Career

Uttarayan , the first film he acted in, was released in Kolkata on 1963. [1] He performed in around two hundred films which were released. [5]

Ariful Haque's most recent films were Prem Nishad directed by AKM Firoz Babu, Chirodini Tumi Amar directed by FI Manik and Gohine Shobdo directed by Khalid Mahmood Mithu. [2]

Jadur Bashi is a 1977 Bengali romantic film directed by Abdul Latif Bachchu. Story, screenplay and dialogue written by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury. Apu Sarwar has played the main character in the film. Along with Suchorita, Razzak, Bulbul Ahmed, ATM Shamsuzzaman in the supporting roles. The film won the Bangladesh National Film Awards in three categories.

Saidul Anam Tutul was a Bangladeshi drama and film director. He started his career as a film editor. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Editing for the film Surja Dighal Bari (1979).

Keka Ferdousi is a Bangladeshi television chef and author.

Sumona Haque is a Bangladeshi singer who mainly sings jingles and audio albums. For her immense success in jingles, she is referred as Jingle Express. She has lent her voice to albums like Mayabi Ey Raate (1988), Majhe Kichu Bochor Gelo (2000), Tumi Robe Nirobe (2008) and Kichu Sriti Kichu Bedona (2015). Her only playback was the song "Monete Ki Nojore Ki" in the film Balika Holo Bondhu (1994), a duet with Shuvro Dev.
