Also an ironman, he played in 699 out of a possible 704 during his career. He was a six-time All-Star and four-time Second Team All-Pro, and was inducted into the NAIA Basketball Hall of Fame and the sport's Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995.

The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas is a spiritual site near Arlee, Montana, within the Flathead Indian Reservation in Lake County, Montana. Under construction in 2012, the monument portion of the site is 750 square feet (70 m2) in area and the surrounding garden is spread across 10 acres (4.0 ha) of land. It is intended to be a pilgrimage destination for the Western hemisphere and is expected by its builders to become a major place of worship for people of many faiths. It is free to the public and will feature over one thousand statues.

The 1992 Purdue Boilermakers football team represented Purdue University as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 1992 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by second-year head coach Jim Colletto, the Boilermakers compiled an overall record of 4–7 with a mark of 3–5 in conference play, tying for sixth place the Big Ten. Purdue suffered its eighth consecutive losing season. The team played home games at Ross–Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Eliza Parks Hegan was a Canadian nurse. She was matron of the Victoria Public Hospital from 1890 to 1892 and then became the matron at Saint John General Public Hospital for three years between 1892 and 1895. Hegan worked at the New York Polyclinic Medical School and Hospital for three years and she setup a private hospital in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1898. She was a contributor to the founding of the first local nursing association, the Graduate Nurses' Society of Saint John General Public Hospital, in 1903, for which she was become its fifth president six years later when it became the Saint John Graduate Nurses Association.
