Armageddon Gospels is a 2019 British folk horror film written, produced and, directed by John Harrigan and produced by the British immersive theatre and production collective FoolishPeople. The film premiered at the 2018 Byline Fest and was released on the 31 October 2019.

Premise

Refugee gods, transposed to flesh and blood, wash ashore to rouse the myths of ancient England, half-drowned in a forgotten past. They disperse through shifting realities to awaken the giant Albion and find the holy grail in a ritual to save England from the rot of darkness and hatred that's strangling its soul. [1]

Martin Unsworth of Starburst Magazine awarded the film seven out of ten stars, writing, "Perhaps not as accessible as other folk horror tales, Armageddon Gospels is a worthy and well-made movie that rises above its humble budget and will no doubt develop a cult following with alternative groups." FoolishPeople British theatre and production collective

FoolishPeople is a British theatre and production collective specialising in original site-specific and immersive theatre, as well as independent film and books. The collective was founded in 1989 by John Harrigan, who developed the theatre practice Theatre of Manifestation. Combining ritual, mythology, shamanism, drama therapy, strategic forecasting and open source collaboration in the creation of FoolishPeople's work. Each project takes form by merging text, performance, sound, art, light and the building itself to create dreamlike worlds that living characters inhabit. FoolishPeople were one of the early pioneers of immersive theatre in the UK and have utilised transmedia within their work since their inception in 1989.

Nuzo Onoh is a British-Nigerian writer. She grew up the third of the eight children of the late Chief Mrs Caroline Onoh, a former headteacher. She experienced the Biafran war with Nigeria (1967–70) as a child refugee and at the age of 13, she was the victim of an attempted "exorcism" by a local pastor. Due to this experience, she currently advocates for greater awareness of ritual child abuse in African communities.
