Armas Amukwiyu

Armas Amukwiyu (born 22 April 1976) is a Namibian businessman and politician. He is a member of the ruling SWAPO party, and is the SWAPO Party Regional Coordinator for the Oshikoto Region [1] and the chairperson of the SWAPO party's regional coordinators forum. He run but lost as a candidate for Secretary-General of SWAPO. [2]

Nangolo Mbumba is a Namibian politician who currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of Namibia. A member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), Mbumba has headed a number of Namibian ministries: Agriculture, Water and Rural Development (1993-1996), Finance (1996-2003), Information and Broadcasting (2003-2005) Education (2005–2010), and Safety and Security (2010-2012). In 2012 he became the Secretary-General of SWAPO serving until 2017.

Philemon Moongo was a Namibian politician. A member of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance, Moongo has been a member of the National Assembly since 1995. Moongo was born at Oniipa village in Oshikoto Region in 1943 and died from cancer after a long battle in 2015.

Samuel Abraham Peyavali "Peya" Mushelenga is a Namibian politician and poet. A member of SWAPO, Mushelenga has been a member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 2005.

Eengodi Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It has 14,995 inhabitants.

Guinas Constituency

Guinas Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It has 8,435 inhabitants and consists of the rural area surrounding the mining town of Tsumeb. Larger settlements in the Guinas constituency are Oshivelo and Tsintsabis.

Onayena Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It has 15,684 inhabitants; its district capital is the settlement of Onayena. Currently the Councillor of Onayena is Natangwe Indongo, a former school teacher at Nehale Senior Secondary School. The Constituency's population has grown significantly over recent years, dominated by the Ovambo language speaking people and a small group of San people.

Oniipa Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It has 23,913 inhabitants, its district capital is the settlement of Oniipa. Further settlements in this constituency are Oshigambo, and Onanjokwe.

Onyaanya Constituency

Onyaanya Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It has 13,474 inhabitants; its district capital is the settlement of Onyaanya.

Henock Tangeni Kankoshi, is a Namibian politician and was the governor of Oshikoto Region, having succeeded Penda Ya Ndakolo in 2015 his term ended April 2020 and was replaced by Penda Ya Ndakolo again.

Nehale IyaMpingana Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia, named after Nehale lya Mpingana, one of Namibia's National Heroes. It was created in August 2013, following a recommendation of the Fourth Delimitation Commission of Namibia, and in preparation of the 2014 general election. The administrative centre of Nehale lyaMpingana is the settlement of Okoloti.

Jafet Penda Ya Ndakolo is a Namibian SWAPO politician and current governor of Oshikoto Region. He served as minister of defence from 2015 to 2020. After losing his position as minister in 2020 he was appointed to his old position as governor again.
