History

Drishtipat (a non-profit human rights organisation by non-resident Bangladeshis) worked with Arnob and his fellow artists to hold charity concerts titled 'The Unheard Voices World Tour'. Bengal Music Company Ltd released an album titled Arnob & Friends Live with songs played by the band during their concert tour. The album was sponsored by HSBC. [5]

Anusheh Anadil is a Bangladeshi musician, artist, cultural activist, and social entrepreneur. Their rendition of spiritual folk songs, along with their own original songs, became a revolution for bringing the sounds of the village bard into popular culture. They helped popularize the philosophy of Fakir Lalon Shai, as a breath of fresh air, to the urban youth. Bangla's second album Prottutponnomotitto (2005) is a tribute to Fakir Lalon Shai. The album questions religious extremism and corrupt politics by using songs of the insightful mystic. The band 'Bangla' inspired many young musicians from both sides of Bengal to rediscover their roots.

Shironamhin is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1996. Following as a rock group emerging from Dhaka's underground music in the late 1990s, they were distinguished for their extended psychedelic and progressive compositions, multi-instrumental experimentation, and philosophical lyrics and became one of the leading band of the Bengali progressive rock genre. In 2008, the band became a member of the Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA).

Warfaze is a Bangladeshi heavy metal band formed on 6 June 1984 in Dhaka by Kamal, Meer, Helal, Naimul, and Bapi. They are one of the early heavy metal bands in Bangladesh. The band had numerous line-up changes since 1984. Since its inception, the band has released seven studio albums, one compilation album, and several singles.

Kazi Md. Ali Balam Jahangir, famously known as Balam, is a Bangladeshi singer, guitarist, composer, and music producer. He was born in Dhamaron village in Tongibari Upazila of Munshiganj (Bikrampur) district. He used to be the lead guitarist/vocalist for the band Warfaze. Later he introduced himself as a solo singer.

"Ore Neel Doriya Amay De Re De Chhariya" is a Bengali film song from 1978 released Bangladeshi movie Sareng Bou. The song is penned by Mukul Chowdhury and is considered as one of the evergreen compositions of Bangladeshi Music. Originally composed and produced by Alam Khan and recorded on Abdul Jabbar's voice. The song is filmed on a theme where a sailor man's wife is dreaming about her husband's home coming. Farooque has acted as sailor captain in this film, who carry out the song. This film's director Abdullah Al Mamun has filmed this song's opening on a running train, second verses on a Bangladeshi Sampan and filming of the final verses has taken place on a human trail.
