The National Scout Organization of Thailand is the national Scouting organization of Thailand. Scouting was founded in Thailand in 1911 and was among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922. It is currently regulated by the Scouting Act, BE 2551 (2008). The organization has 828,248 members and is open to boys and girls.
Les Scouts du Cameroun is the national Scouting organization of Cameroon. Scouting in Cameroon was started in 1937. The association was founded in 1973 through the merger of five predecessors. Cameroonese Scouting became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1971. The coeducational Scouts du Cameroun has 4,561 members as of 2008.
Under the direction of Hossein Banai, Iranian Scouting became a member of the World Bureau of the World Organization of the Scout Movement for the second time in 1955.
The Boy Scouts of Liberia, the national Scouting organization of Liberia, was founded in 1922, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1965. The boys only Boy Scouts of Liberia had 2,418 members as of 2004.
The Bronze Wolf Award is bestowed by the World Scout Committee (WSC) to acknowledge "outstanding service by an individual to the World Scout Movement". It is the highest honor that can be given a volunteer Scout leader in the world and it is the only award given by the WSC. Since the award's creation in 1935, fewer than 400 of the several millions of Scouts throughout the world have received the award.
Lakshman Singh served as the National Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides from April 1983 to November 1992. He was a recipient of the Padma Bhushan, an Indian civilian honour.
Piet J. Kroonenberg was a Scouting historian and was the historical consultant to the European Scout Committee. He had written books and articles about Scouting during World War II and post-War Scouting in Central and Eastern Europe.
Ali Abdulkarim al-Dandachi was a Syrian who served as the vice president of the Boy Scouts de Syrie. Dandachi also served on the International Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1951 to 1957. Dandachi had done a great deal to encourage Scouting throughout the Middle East, and during his term as a member of the International Committee, he visited practically every country in the region, leading to the establishment of an Arab Scout Bureau.
Niaz M. Khan served as the Chief Commissioner of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association, and served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1963 to 1969.
Mohamed Ali Hafez of the Egyptian Federation for Scouts and Girl Guides served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1957 to 1963 and again from 1965 to 1971.
Abhai Chandavimol, the Thai Minister of Education served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1965 to 1971, representing The National Scout Organization of Thailand.
Takemichi Toby Suzuki, a former elected member of the World Scout Committee from 1999 to 2005, served as the former Chairman of the Information and Communications Technology subcommittee of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1995 to 1998, former member of the National Executive Council and the National Board of the Scout Association of Japan from 1993 to 2007.
Leslie R. Mordecai served as the International Commissioner of the Scout Association of Jamaica, and as a member of the Interamerican Region Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, he was instrumental in the 20th World Scout Conference.
Rashid Shoucair served as President of the Lebanese Scouting Federation.
Charles A. Martin served as the Chief Scout of the Boy Scouts of South Africa and also International Commissioner of the Scout Association of Rhodesia, which has since become the Scout Association of Zimbabwe.
Carveth Geach (1928–2005) served as the Chief Scout of the Boy Scouts of South Africa.
Herbert William Garnet de la Hunt served as the Chief Scout of the Boy Scouts of South Africa, as well as the Vice-Chairman of the Africa Scout Committee, and was the first South African to be elected to the World Scout Committee, a member from 1996 to 2002 and held the post of chairman of the committee. In 1994, de la Hunt was awarded the 234th Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting. On 27 April 2013 he received the Order of the Baobab.
Francisco Macías Valadéz served as the International Commissioner of the Asociación de Scouts de México, Asociación Civil.
Johan Kromann of Denmark served as the Chairman of the Programme Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
Major Sir Marc Noble served as the Commonwealth Commissioner of the Scout Association, as well as the Chairman of the World Budget and Treasury Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
