Arthur L. Zimny was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate.
Zimny was born on August 5, 1900, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. [1] After graduating from South Division High School, Zimny took part in the University of Wisconsin-Extension program. He was a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America and the Knights of Columbus. Zimny died in 1973.
Zimny was a member of the Senate from 1935 to 1942. He was a Democrat.

Robert John Zimny was an American football tackle who played two seasons with the Chicago Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Brooklyn Tigers in the 28th round of the 1944 NFL Draft. He played college football at Indiana University and attended St. Rita of Cascia High School in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the Chicago Cardinals team that won the 1947 NFL Championship.

Incumbent two-term Democratic senator Tammy Baldwin was re-elected with 55.4% of the vote in 2018. Baldwin announced she would be running for re-election on April 12, 2023. No Republican has won this Class 1 senate seat since Joseph McCarthy in 1952. Primary elections will take place on August 13, 2024.
