The team event at the 2022 Asian Games took place from 6 to 8 October 2023 at HOC Aquatics Center. [1] [2]

Contents

On 7 October 2022, World Aquatics (then FINA) voted to amend its rules to allow up to two male athletes to participate in the team event. [3] [4] However, only two male swimmers from China and Thailand participated in the games.

Synchronized swimming, also known as artistic swimming, is a sport where swimmers perform a synchronized choreographed routine, accompanied by music. The sport is governed internationally by World Aquatics. It has traditionally been a women's sport, although FINA introduced a new mixed gender duet competition that included one male swimmer in each duet at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships and European Aquatics introduced men's individual events at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships. The championships are World Aquatics' largest and main event traditionally held biennially every odd year, with all six of the aquatic disciplines contested every championships. The swimming competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were due to take place from 25 July to 6 August 2020 at the Olympic Aquatics Centre. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the games were postponed to 2021. However, their official name remained 2020 Summer Olympics with swimming events set for 24 July–1 August 2021 and marathon swimming set for 4–5 August 2021.

Shelly Bobritsky is an Israeli Olympic swimmer who competes in Artistic swimming. She competed in the 2020 Olympics in duet, was the European Champion in the free combination event in 2023, and was a three-time European medalist as well as a two-time European Cup bronze medalist. Bobritsky represented Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics in artistic swimming women's duet with Ariel Nassee, and the pair came in 11th.

Moeka Kijima is a Japanese competitor in synchronised swimming.

Artistic swimming at the 2022 Asian Games was held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center in Hangzhou, China from 6 to 8 October 2023.

Tomoka Sato is a Japanese artistic swimmer. At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, she and her younger brother Yotaro Sato became the first duo representing Japan to win a silver medal in the mixed duet technical routine, they also became the first representing Japan to win a silver medal in the mixed duet free routine. She also won a silver in the team technical routine and a bronze medal in the team free routine at the same Championships. Earlier in the year, she won a gold medal in the mixed duet technical routine and a gold medal and a silver medal in the mixed duet free routine as part of the 2022 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series. At the 2018 World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships, she won three bronze medals in team events.

Artistic swimming competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France ran between 5 and 10 August at the Paris Aquatic Centre. For the first time since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the competition featured fewer than 100 athletes, with a total of 96 athletes competing in two medal events, namely the women's duet and the mixed team.

This article details the qualifying phase for diving at the 2024 Summer Olympics. The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 136 divers coming from their respective NOCs; each can enter a maximum of two divers per gender in the individual events and a gender-based pair in the synchronized events, respecting a sixteen-member country limit. To be eligible for the Games, all divers must be 14 years old and above on or before December 31, 2023; and must participate in various international meets approved by World Aquatics.

The team event at the 2024 Summer Olympics is being held from 5 to 7 August 2024 at the Paris Aquatic Centre.
