Tracy Harris Patterson is an American former boxer who became a two weight world champion. Born Tracy Harris in Grady, Alabama, he is the adopted son of former Golden Gloves and world heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson, turned Golden Gloves success into a solid pro career. He won the WBC super bantamweight title with a two-round TKO of Thierry Jacob and defended the title for two years before losing the belt to Hector Acero-Sanchez in 1994. He later won the IBF super featherweight title against Eddie Hopson in 1995. Patterson retired in 2001 with a pro record of 63–8–2.

Gyula Török was an amateur Hungarian boxer. Competing in the flyweight division, he won the national title in 1957–58, a silver medal at the 1959 European Championships, and a gold medal at the 1960 Olympics. He subsequently moved to bantamweight and won three more national titles, in 1961, 1962 and 1964. He lost to Italy's Primo Zamparini in a quarter-final of the 1961 European Championships, and to Russia's Oleg Grigoryev in his first bout at the 1964 Olympics. Török retired from competitions in 1966 and for 40 years worked at the Kispest Granite Factory. He simultaneously coached boxers at Építők SC in 1976–78 and at Csepel SC in 1978–81. In the 1990 he also worked for the national boxing team and the Hungarian Boxing Federation. Török was Jewish.
Antoni "Kajtek" Czortek was a Polish boxing champion, a legend in the sport. He was a 1939 silver medalist in the Amateur Championships of Europe, a multiple champion of Poland and a participant in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. He is equally, if tragically, remembered for his heroic struggle for life in the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Dezső Frigyes né Dezső Fritsch was a Hungarian boxer who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics. He was born in Budapest and died in Cleveland. In 1936 he finished fourth in the featherweight class after losing the bronze medal bout to Josef Miner. He won the silver medal in the 1934 European Amateur Boxing Championships in Budapest, and the gold medal in the 1942 European Amateur Boxing Championships in Breslau.

There were 97 fighters from 11 countries participating: Germany, Hungary, and Italy, and Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. After World War II, the results were annulled by AIBA.

As an amateur, she won gold medals at the 2001, 2002 and 2005 World Championships, and the 2003, 2004 and 2005 European Championships.
