Jayakody Arachchige Asela Madushan (born 9 December 1999), commonly known as Asela Madushan, is a Sri Lankan footballer who currently plays as a forward for Renown.

<i>Sirasa Superstar</i> Sri Lankan TV series or program

Sirasa Superstar was a musical reality show conducted in Sri Lanka by the TV channel Sirasa TV. The first four seasons were inspired by the program called American Idol an American singing competition series, the fifth and sixth seasons are similar to The Voice. The seventh season was finished on 9 July 2016. The show has been succeeded by The Voice Sri Lanka from 2020 onwards.

Asela was an early monarch of Sri Lanka of the Kingdom of Anuradhapura, based at the ancient capital of Anuradhapura from 215 BC to 205 BC. He was the youngest of the many sons of Mutasiva and brother of previous monarchs Devanampiya Tissa, Uttiya and Mahasiva. Asela fought Sena and Guttika in a battle to re-establish Vijaya rule in 215 BC, but in 205 BC the kingdom of Anuradhapura was again invaded by a Tamil, a Prince of the Chola dynasty named Ellalan killing Asela.

The Sri Lankan cricket team toured India from 9 to 14 February 2016 to play three Twenty20 International matches. On 24 May 2015, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the venues for the series. They were played in Pune, Ranchi and Visakhapatnam. Initially Delhi was scheduled to host the second match, but the match was later moved to Ranchi. India won the series 2–1.
