The Ashland station or Soo Line Depot in Ashland, Wisconsin, United States, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is a brownstone building and was used by the Wisconsin Central and later by the Soo Line Railroad. [2] [3]
Passenger train service to the Soo Line Depot ended on January 6, 1959, when trains 117 and 118 were discontinued from Ashland to Spencer. [4]
Ashland is a city in Ashland and Bayfield counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is the county seat of Ashland County. The city is a port on Lake Superior, near the head of Chequamegon Bay. The population was 7,908 at the 2020 census, all of whom resided in the Ashland County portion of the city. The unpopulated Bayfield County portion is in the city's southwest, bordered by the easternmost part of the Town of Eileen.

The Soo Line Railroad is one of the primary United States railroad subsidiaries for the CPKC Railway, one of six U.S. Class I railroads, controlled through the Soo Line Corporation. Although it is named for the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad (MStP&SSM), which was commonly known as the Soo Line after the phonetic spelling of Sault, it was formed in 1961 by the consolidation of that company with two other CPKC subsidiaries: The Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railway, and the Wisconsin Central Railway. It is also the successor to other Class I railroads, including the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway and the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. On the other hand, a large amount of mileage was spun off in 1987 to Wisconsin Central Ltd., now part of the Canadian National Railway. The Soo Line Railroad and the Delaware and Hudson Railway, CPKC's other major subsidiary, presently do business as the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP). Most equipment has been repainted into the CP scheme, but the U.S. Surface Transportation Board groups all of the company's U.S. subsidiaries under the Soo Line name for reporting purposes. The Minneapolis headquarters are in the Canadian Pacific Plaza building, having moved from the nearby Soo Line Building.

Moose Lake station in Moose Lake, Minnesota, United States, is a depot built in 1907 by the Soo Line Railroad. The building was one of the few buildings that survived the 1918 Cloquet Fire, and it was used to provide shelter for those left homeless in the fires. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 as the Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Sault Ste. Marie Depot.

Built in 1869 and remodeled in 1891, it is a well-preserved example of a rural 19th-century railroad station. It is now a museum operated by the Ashland Historical Society. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
Cloverdale station is a bus station and future intermodal station in Cloverdale, California. It is served by Amtrak Thruway and Sonoma County Transit buses. Additional service to Sonoma County Airport station is provided by Sonoma County Transit under contract by Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit.
The Calmar Passenger Depot is a historic building located in Calmar, Iowa, United States. It was built by the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad in 1915 to replace the Depot Hotel that had been destroyed in a fire. The single-story building originally featured a 27 feet (8 m) canopy on its east side that was removed by the railroad in 1970. It was reconstructed in 1998. The passenger trains were on a line that ran between Madison, Wisconsin and South Dakota. They were discontinued in the 1960s. The former depot now houses restrooms for the Prairie Farmer Bike trail, which is adjacent to the building, farmers and flea markets, and other small community events. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
Catlettsburg is a former Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad station located in downtown Catlettsburg, Kentucky. Opened between 1897 and 1890 to replace an older wooden station, it served trains until 1958. Amtrak trains began stopping at Tri-State Station some 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the north in 1975; it was renamed Catlettsburg around 1988. Amtrak service was moved from Catlettsburg to Ashland in 1998. The C&O station was refurbished from 2004 to 2006 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Madison station is a former railroad station in Madison, Wisconsin. The station served passenger and freight trains of the Chicago and North Western Railway (C&NW). Passenger service ended in 1965 and the passenger station and freight depot was bought by Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) and has been renovated to serve as offices. The station and freight depot are listed as contributing properties on the National Register of Historic Places East Wilson Street Historic District. The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad had tracks paralleling the C&NW and also had a nearby passenger station that outlasted the C&NW station as an active station by several years.

The Osceola Depot is a historic railroad station located at 114 Depot Rd. in Osceola, Wisconsin. The station was built in 1916 for the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad. Later, the line would become a part of the Soo Line Railroad and eventually Canadian National. Today, the depot serves as a part of the Minnesota Transportation Museum as the starting point for a heritage railway.
The Frederic Depot is a historic railroad station located at 210 Oak St. W in Frederic, Wisconsin. The station was built in 1901 for the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad. It was constructed at the Soo Line shops in Minneapolis and shipped to Frederic by rail, where it was assembled. The depot was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
Remer station in Remer, Minnesota, United States, is a depot built around 1910 by the Soo Line Railroad. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as the Soo Line Depot.
The Neenah station, otherwise known as the Neenah-Menasha station or Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Depot is a historic railroad station located at 500 N. Commercial Street in Neenah, Wisconsin. The station was built in 1892 for the Chicago and North Western Railway. The depot was designed by Charles Sumner Frost in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. Passenger service on the line was ceased in 1971.
